Quality Assurance Manager/ Mobility
Pyxis Mobile, a leading provider of innovative wireless software is looking for a QA Manager with experience in enterprise level mobile software. The QA Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of Pyxis Mobile software by managing the QA team and all aspects of software test planning, execution, and status reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to the following):
• Manage team of four QA engineers and one release engineer
• Plan test coverage, team resources, and schedules for new releases and support builds
• Manage test execution for new releases and support builds
• Communicate QA team status and schedules to developers, product managers, and the executive team
• Administer software tools critical to the testing process - defect tracking and test library management via TechExcel DevTrack and DevTest
• Maintain and improve existing manual test libraries and test environments
• Expand and improve automated testing efforts to improve team efficiency
• Implement improvements to development and QA team processes to increase team efficiency and software quality
• Occasionally assist in creating and running manual and automated tests
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related major
• 5+ years experience as a software engineer or QA engineer
• Experience managing a team of software or QA engineers
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Programming experience in Java, C#, C++ or comparable language required
• SQL skills required
• Experience with automated testing tools and continuous integration is a plus.
• Skills in the following areas are helpful, but not required: JUnit, NUnit, FitNesse, CruiseControl, ANT, Python, scripting languages, mobile software testing
• Experience working as a liaison with Development and Professional Services
