EP’s Services Engineering team is currently seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality of software and database product releases.
Essential functions of this position include:
• Write and maintain test cases and test plans for enterprise-scale systems and applications.
• Execute and maintain test automation tools for functional, performance, and stress testing.
• Execute test plans and assess test results for compliance with requirements and specifications.
• Report and track defects.
• Assist developers in troubleshooting and reproducing defects.
• Assist with scheduling and project planning.
• Mentor Junior level Engineers.
Required qualifications include:
• BA/BS in Computer Science or the equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years experience as a Software QA Engineer in a multiplatform environment (Unix, Windows) using various Web technologies (HTTP, XML, Apache, Tomcat, and relational databases).
• 3+ years experience using functional automation and load/performance testing tools (QTest, Silk Test, LoadRunner, QTP )
• 3+ years using scripting languages such as Python, Perl, VB Script, etc. Must be able to develop tests and complex test infrastructure using languages such as Java, C++, C#,.NET.
• 2+ years using automated build/test execution systems (Cruise Control, Hudson, Ant.).
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong analytical ability, and problem solving skills. Experience with search and retrieval technologies and large database topologies are a plus. Experience with Java applications, Open Source tools and Agile environments is preferred.
