As drummers we are turned on by anything with a solid groove, and that includes swing grooves. To some rock drummers, jazz is a "closed door", and although we like what we hear, being able to play it might seem next to impossible.

My background is actually in engineering, having received a bachelors degree in civil engineering and a masters degree in environmental engineering from WPI. Most of those who have sought me out as a tutor are those who have found most test prep books and commercial courses to be less than effective, and who have decided to look for a patient and skilled instructor for the verbal part of the GMAT, GRE and SAT tests.

Many people erroneously feel that the verbal part of these tests cannot be studied in a traditional way, but my average student succeeds in an increase of 100 points or more.
