Sprague Energy, the regions largest distributor of industrial fuels and the industry choice for bulk and break-bulk materials handling, is looking for a terminal operator to join our Everett, MA team.

We are currently seeking a reliable and dependable individual who is capable of a wide range of duties at a tank farm/bulk handling facility. A variety of skills/specialization may be utilized some of which may require licensure or certification. Work hours/shifts vary and overtime is frequently available but not guaranteed. Work is primarily performed outdoors in a maritime environment 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

DUTIES

• Operation of large construction equipment (loader, bulldozer)
• Assist with mooring vessels
• Assist with offloading of cargo (connecting hoses)
• Operation of hoisting cranes
• Operation of conveyor system
• Gauging of tanks
• Assist with maintenance of grounds, buildings and/or equipment
• Participate in spill response drills
• Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a general laborer
• Knowledge of basic math
• Mechanical aptitude
• Licenses/certifications as required for some operations
• Basic computer knowledge
• Valid driver’s license
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Physical activity/strength requirements are demanding and may include:
  • Standing up to 75% of the day
  • Lifting up to 75 lbs (i.e. steel parts, spouts)
  • Carrying up to 50 lbs (i.e. oil, parts, tools)
  • Pulling up to 75 lb capacity (i.e. mooring lines)
  • Extended climbing (i.e. tank ladders/stairs/ramps)
