- Requires proficiency in power electronics & control, design, analysis, bread-boarding and testing. <br>

- Requires proficiency is software simulation tools. <br>
- Working knowledge of lighting system requirements and electronic ballast design is desirable. <br>
- Proficiency in the software design and implementation of micro-controller based systems (with emphasis on programming languages such as C and assembly) is desirable. <br>
- Must be familiar with EMC / EMI requirements. <br>

Responsibilities:<br>
-Mechanical design of new products in compliance with appropriate schedules and product specifications.<br>
-Mechanical engineering support of designers and drafters.  Perform thermal and stress analysis, materials studies, tolerance studies and miscellaneous support as required.<br>
-Provide engineering support to manufacturing by resolving product and process related manufacturing problems.<br>
-Perform cost reduction and analysis on new and existing products and implement changes in a timely manner when directed.<br>
-Lead one or more designers in a teaming arrangement to ensure product quality, meeting assignment objectives, team supervision, and design direction.<br>
-Provide cost estimates, product information, mechanical engineering and general assistance.<br>
-Keep up to date with new products and processes by attending seminars and courses, visiting vendors and customer facilities, technical reading and lectures.<br>
-Record and maintain files properly documenting activities in compliance with existing departmental procedures.<br>
-Mentor mechanical engineers and mechanical designers.<br>

Background/Education/Experience Required:<br>
-Must have knowledge of precision mechanical design and drafting techniques, as well as experience in electro-mechanical design and electronic packaging.  <br>
-Background in the design of automated systems, mechanisms, electro-mechanical subsystems, electronic packaging and servo controlled mechanical components.<br>
-BSME required, MSME Preferred.<br>
-Minimum of 7 years experience in mechanical engineering and design.<br>
-A minimum of 4 years experience in the design of equipment for reliable operation in<br>
severe environmental conditions is required, as is knowledge of DoD/MIL-S-901D, MIL-STD-167 and MIL-STD-801.<br>
-Experience testing equipment to the above listed environmental conditions.<br>
-Experience with US Navy shipboard equipment specifications and engineering analysis is required. (PC based desirable)<br>
-Familiarity with the US Navy shipboard environment required.<br>
-Professional Engineering License is a plus.<br>

Skills and Knowledge Required:<br>
-Proficiency in the use of personal computers.<br>
-Experience in the use of PC based CAD tools (specifically Autodesk Inventor and Mechanical Desktop)<br>
-Experience in the use of FEA & CFD software packages to analyze and assess shock, vibration, and thermal survivability.<br>
-Direct experience with machine shop, sheet metal fabrication, foundry operations, PCB build up, wiring and assembly required.<br>

The Manager of Engineering will be responsible to integrate, coordinate, expand and diversify A&E functions with all of EBIs technical support employees, including Telecom, Real Estate, Healthcare, Academic, Biotech and Industrial businesses.  <br>

Responsibilities and duties include:<br>
Responsible for directing, planning and controlling all projects within the A&E group ensuring client satisfaction and maximizing project profitability. Planning<br>
	Evaluates and approves engineering concepts, design procedures, and new technologies for the A&E Group.<br>
