Responsibilities include assisting with the planning, organization, and administration of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs for college students, including grants, scholarships, loans, and student employment; providing prospective students with information regarding financial processes and policies; processing of student aid applications to determine eligibility for financial aid; and communicating the vision, mission, culture, and the specific content of NSCC’s educational programs to a variety of constituencies on and off campus. This individual may coordinate select programs and services to targeted populations of both current and potential students, on-campus and in the community.<br>

1.	Provides detailed and comprehensive academic counseling and advising to students on financial options and application procedures to current and potential students, including but not limited to information on: program specific academic and financial aid requirements and options; career advising; course selection and sequencing in the context of financial aid requirements; pre and co-requisites; and program change or transitional program issues.   Assists and advises prospective, incoming, and current students in the planning and implementing their educational, career, and personal goals and objectives.<br>
2.	Evaluates financial aid application files for appropriate information and supporting documents; requests additional documentation as needed; performs verification of information; obtains/reviews confidential information relating to student enrollment, grades, and financial status to assess financial need and eligibility. Reviews student aid application files and determines eligibility for federal, state, and institutional financial aid.  Awards aid to eligible students.<br>
3.	Plans, implements and evaluates a variety of programs and cross-component activities that maximize financial access to the college for potential students and ensure sound academic and fiscal planning at the first point of contact for new and returning students. This will include but not be limited to: coordinating information sessions with the academic, student services and other components; providing advisement information through high school and agency visits; designing workshops and other outreach activities to be facilitated on-campus, in local schools, (including K-12), and in other off-campus community sites; and representing the college at a variety of college fairs, career fairs, conferences and comparable activities.<br>
4.	Serves on committees and/or teams as assigned or deemed necessary.<br>
5.	May be responsible for one or more of the following:  assisting the Director in the processing of financial aid loan programs; EDE processing functions, coordinating participation in Federal Work Study Program<br>

QUALIFICATIONS: <br>
1.	An earned master’s degree with at least three years experience in financial assistance.  Community College experience preferred.<br>
2.	Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of financial aid and computer based management.<br>
3.	Strong knowledge of Microsoft products; Banner software experience a plus.<br>
4.	Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds, including the adult learners.<br>
5.	Strong organizational and analytical skills.<br>
6.	Must have the ability to travel and work evenings and weekends for such events as Open Houses, College Fairs, community engagements, graduation, etc.  A valid MA driver’s license is required. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES<br>
Classroom Environment<br>
To create a nurturing, respectful, and safe classroom environment (together with Head Teacher) that responds to the needs of each student.<br>
1)	Develop and implement curriculum under the direction of the Head Teacher in accordance with Artisan Child Care for the Arts curriculum guidelines, educational best practices and is geared towards meeting the developmental needs of each child. <br>
2)	Support Head Teacher in the process of developing and sharing classroom activities to meet developmental and academic objectives.  <br>
3)	Participate in creating daily classroom record keeping process to chart each child’s developmental and academic process.<br>
4)	Develop, maintain and implement a classroom maintenance schedule with Head Teacher, which may include: cleaning, repair of materials, planning class events, material making, record keeping and other projects related to the classroom.<br>
5)	Maintaining a positive attitude and open communication with Head Teacher.  <br>
<br>
Student and Family Support<br>
To ensure that students are meeting developmental level expectations and to collaborate with parents to help increase student achievement.<br>
1)	Support Head Teacher in preparing and conducting parent teacher conferences three times per year and provide feedback on student’s progress. This written feedback is done through teacher prepared progress reports and goal setting sheets. The role of the Intern is to record the conference, and provide input when needed. The intern may also be responsible for compiling a virtual summary of a child’s work.<br>
2)	Participate in discussion with Director and Head Teacher regarding future placement of students in next levels to ensure a successful transition at Artisan Child Care Center.<br>
3)	Respond in a timely manner to all parent inquiries after consulting with Head Teacher.<br>
4)	Support Head Teacher in periodically reviewing each child’s developmental progress and process by contributing information on child development and behavior.<br>
<br>
Professional and Personal Growth<br>
To model lifelong learning and to meet professional development requirements.<br>
1)	Attend and report, to other faculty members at the weekly Team Meetings or other assigned times, on at least two professional development workshops inside/outside of school.  These workshops may include the yearly NAEYC Regional Conference.  Professional Development postings are located in the teacher’s resource room.  All requests should be placed with the Director in a timely manner.<br>
2)	Create yearly professional and personal goals to be discussed with   the Director and shared with Head Teacher.<br>

Administrative Responsibilities<br>
To assist in the efficient and effective management of the School.<br>
1)	Demonstrate professionalism in every aspect of the job and adhere to Center guidelines and professional standards.  Practice the use of confidentiality in all situations as outlined in Artisan Child Care Staff  Handbook.<br>
2)	Follow protocol for managing information (i.e. attendance, personal/sick days), etc. as detailed in Center Handbook. <br>
3)	Observe all school deadlines (classroom and school).<br>
4)	Attend all faculty meetings and participate on a committee if asked.<br>
5)	Use a timely and positive manner when voicing concerns or seeking help from Administration.<br>
6)	All written materials must be pre-approved by the Head Teacher or Director before going home to parents.<br>

Qualifications<br>
·	Minimum of an AA in Early Child hood or related field, BA/BS degree PREFERRED<br>
·	Solid foundation in Early Childhood Education and Child Development<br>
·	Experience working with children of this age group in various settings<br>
·	Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to enhance curriculum and community<br>
·	Commitment to professional development and growth<br>
·	Education experience in a variety of instructional methods<br>
·	Understanding and interest in developmental stages of children within a multi-age environment.<br>
·	Computer literacy:  proficient in Word, I Photo, Excel, Email<br>

The Malden YMCA SACC Program is seeking individuals that can work with School Age children in a variety of activities such as <br>

as well as specialty and work to help children achieve their potential in everything they try. <br>
The program is separated by age and divided into 4 Units. Each Unit has a Unit Leader, Groups Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders. <br>
Specialists may work with 2 or more Units during the week depending on their ¡§special activity¡¨. <br>
<br>
Qualifications:<br>
Available afternoons*, are friendly, have patience and can work well as a team member. <br>
Develop and run age appropriate activities.<br>
All positions must meet the state EEC qualifications including but not limited to Criminal Record Check, verification of experience and references. <br>
Have good communication skills. <br>
* =  Schedules are flexible. The program operates afternoons 1:30pm-6pm and school vacation weeks and summers 8am-6pm.<br>

Compensation:<br>
Assistant Group Leaders - $8-$9 per hour depending on experience<br>
Group leaders - $9-$12 per hour depending on experience. <br>
Unit Leaders - $10-$14 per hour depending on experience.<br>
Specialists - starting at $12.50 and up, depends on specialty and prior experience.  <br>
