We are searching for a caring, dedicated, and skilled professional to work in our extended day program. Our program serves children in grades K-8. Starting date is 11/23/09. We offer a variety of activities, including arts & crafts, music lessons, sports & games, and supervised homework help. The position involves supervising 4 to 9 students for up to three hours from 2:45-5:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday/Friday. Compensation-$15.00 per hour. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work well with children of varying ages who fall under his/her supervision.
Teaching Opportunities
As a small, non profit school, our educational community offers a unique opportunity for interested educators to work in an intimate, hands-on environment. From classroom to school events, our teachers work with each other, and with school families to create a participative and progressive academic experience between grade levels. Additionally, experiential learning units will typically become themed in our trimester schedule, and overlap between grades. We also utilize our vast local resources to enhance our curriculum.
