We are currently looking for a Project Manager to be part of nSight’s growing Publishing and Editorial Services unit. This group works primarily with educational publishers, as well as with clients from the academic and corporate markets. The Project Manager will handle a wide array of workflows, including instructional design, course development, content development, book production, and various quality assurance protocols (copyediting/proofreading). The products we handle for our clients include textbooks, ancillary packages, E-learning courses, lesson plans, assessments, white papers, and business reports.

Responsibilities
The Project Manager will spearhead his/her assigned projects from the bidding phase through post-delivery. Responsibilities include:
• Serving as point of contact; provide professional, clear, consistent, tactful, and proactive communication that fosters balanced partnerships between nSight and clients/vendors
• Scoping and estimating work, drafting project plans, and negotiating proposals
• Constructing and managing project schedules, budgets, and plans
• Recruiting, vetting, hiring, and supervising project teams
• Designing and chairing project launches and project team training
• Preparing and monitoring project reporting and billing
• Enacting quality control measures throughout delivery
• Compiling post-mortem analysis, collaborating with clients to identify best practices, and implementing and institutionalizing process changes as needed
Experience and Skills
• Bachelor's degree required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a project manager in publishing, communications, or equivalent.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to plan and manage resources, schedules, and budgets effectively.
• Advanced time-management and multi-tasking skills.
• Agile troubleshooter, remaining proactive in thought and action.
• Able to organize and synthesize large volumes of information and materials; able to strategize about the big picture while remaining extremely attentive to details.
• Team-oriented in working effectively with clients, contractors, and colleagues and across multiple businesses.
• Sensitive to the nuances of customer service and willing to go the extra mile for clients; able to function as account manager to grow business partnerships.
• Proficiency with copyediting, proofreading, and proof checking required.
• Experience with higher-level editing, writing, course development, and/or instructional design preferred.
• Classroom teaching or tutoring experience a plus.
• Fluent in MS Office for PC, Internet, and Adobe Acrobat; able to edit using Acrobat on PDFs and Track Changes in Word. Able to work online and in email for a majority of communications. Comfortable with technical language and materials (for editing and management purposes).
