uLocate Communications, Inc., North America's leading publisher of mobile location services, is seeking a full-time, on-site Senior Web Developer with an equal flair for solving both creative and technical problems to help build www.where.com into a premier consumer site for WHERE mobile location-based services.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Sr. Web Developer will design, implement and maintain uLocate web sites including www.where.com. Your core mission will be to increase the reach and range of our Web sites through both content generation and organic search engine optimization tasks. Your ability to design and quickly implement clear, effective web pages while responding to a variety of web-related requests across departments will also be critical to your success.
Core Skills:
• Minimum 3 to 5 years in web based technologies.
• Experience implementing and maintaining high-volume, consumer-oriented Web sites.
• Comfortable with agile development and rapidly deploying new features on a daily/weekly basis
• Demonstrated skills and creative approaches to search engine optimization.
• Expert Java, AJAX, and JavaScript skills.
• Strong database skills, including MySQL.
• Experience in LAMP environments.
• Keen eye for clean UI implementation and knowledge of website design best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Track record of success working in a startup environment
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
