VERY CREATIVE Graphic Design Internship – opportunity for full-time position
Us
We are a young, fast paced, red hot start-up based out of the Salem State College Entrepreneurship facility and we’re trying to revolutionize green techniques for residents across MA. This Green Hi-Tech company was started by four brazen, experienced entrepreneurs/industry veterans who are looking to bridge the gap between the technological, business, political and the green world. The response to the business has been tremendous and we’ve grown significantly as a company, over the past few months. Brushing shoulders, with some of the most powerful people in the state, we have been able to make a lot of headway towards our ambitious plan.
You
The ideal candidate for this position is very serious about their career. They understand that the best way to the top, isn’t just about climbing, but about personal and career growth. Really talented employees are far and between and we’re looking for top tier talent.
Strong command of the Adobe CS3 suite (Photoshop, PageMaker, Dreamweaver etc.) and a solid visual, aesthetic sense. Being artistically inclined is going to prove to be very useful.
Super Intelligent – not just academic, but a smart thinking process is critical. GPA doesn’t matter, but you should be able to grasp concepts very quickly and form links between things.
Results Oriented – it doesn’t matter how much effort you put in, but you should WANT to get results. We’ll show you HOW to get them.
Get Stuff Done – sure, we can talk about it all day, but can we DO it? You should have a track record of getting stuff done. We’ll definitely ask you about this.
Problem Solving/Independence – You should be able to take a project and run with it. We won’t leave you hanging, but don’t expect any babysitting either.
Creativity – This role demands a lot of creativity and lots of NEW IDEAS. We’ll teach you how to turn that idea into STRATEGY.
Sense of Humor – Sounds clichéd, but very important. It helps us and will definitely help you get through those tough, mission critical, deadline driven times. PLUS POINT: love of m&ms. Just because we have a lot of them lying around.

We’ve all had internships (unfortunately) where we didn’t learn or do anything except filing work. This will not be one of those. We promise. We vowed not to ever let that happen to any of our employees. In this internship you will:
Use your superior (and budding) graphic design skills to make things look amazing, yet easy to understand.
Work one-on-one with the Marketing Director to edit and present news articles.
Work on camera interviews of budding and established local personalities.
Constantly be in touch with local newspapers, online sources etc about our company and generated content.
Get to work on Videos that are created/edited, in house.
Help create the story line/script for all of our Mini-movies.

We are looking for this position to evolve into a full-time paid position. If this does not seem likely for you, based on your schedule, in the immediate future, we will still bring you on, if you have the six traits mentioned above.
