Major responsibilities:
This individual will work in a team of software development engineers to develop software components for the company’s proprietary products. S/he will be responsible for planning software development activities, designing and implementing software, designing and performing unit tests, and creating engineering documentation. These responsibilities must be performed in accordance with quality system regulations.
Skills / knowledge requirements:
The position requires the knowledge and skills normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in life or physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics. It requires 5 or more years of experience in software development using object oriented programming languages and design patterns. It requires 3 or more years of experience using JAVA and technologies that have been constructed around this language to enhance application development. Must have solid hands-on development experience using Spring Framework. Preference is given to candidates with experience in Eclipse Platform (GUI), Maven, Spring – HTTP Invoker, Ajax, Web 2.0, and agile software development methodologies.
