About me: I'm a 27yo female architecture grad student with a very busy school schedule and probably too much on my plate in general. Once school has started, you might not see me for days at a time. In rare moments of free time, I might be cooking, exercising, going out to eat, being outdoors, reading, playing my guitar (acoustic, quietly), but mostly just spending time with friends - in the apartment or out in the city somewhere. Don't smoke, no drugs, social drinking only.
About the room/apartment: The apartment is really lovely (see pics below). Second floor, 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen (fully functioning, but has some "character"), 1 bathroom, deck, backyard with patio, on a quiet tree-lined street. Good natural light, hardwood floors throughout, and charming architectural detailing. Free laundry in basement, on street parking. The apartment is well-loved, well-cared for and (in my humble opinion) well-decorated. I've lived here for three years, and it feels like a home. There are the occasional messes, but overall the apartment is kept neat. Bedroom is furnished with twin bed, dresser, desk, bookshelf, includes small closet. While it is a 2 bedroom, I'm friends with the women in the other apartments, so there is a good community feeling here.
About you: Graduate student or young professional, preferably female, who needs a short-term living situation but doesn't want to sacrifice a comfortable, attractive, inviting, and affordable living space. The ideal person is responsible, respectful, mature, emotionally stable, and an experienced roommate. Ability to communicate openly about shared living issues is essential. Must be comfortable moving in to a space that has been set up by someone else - if my roommate is tip-toeing around because she doesn't feel "at home", then it makes it harder for either one of us to relax. The right person will know what it takes to keep the apartment clean and functioning smoothly, and be excited to help - and even initiate - in this effort. I'm going to be pretty busy, so coming home to a peaceful, calming apartment is something I cherish. I would hope you want the same. Basically, I'm looking for someone who just "gets it" in terms of how to live with another person respectfully. If you're smart, fun, enjoy a good laugh...etc....all the better!
My place is right off of Harvard and Beacon, next to Trader Joes, Post Office, various bars and restaurants, Bank of America, Sovereign Bank, movie theater and the C line(get off at Coolidge Corner). This is an EXCELLENT location because downtown Boston is approximately 7-8 minutes on the train, but everything you need is also right at the Harvard/ Beacon intersection ( in terms of night life, restaurants, transportation,and things to do on weekends and such
The apartment is on the first floor, laundry ( washer and drier both cost 1 $/load) in the basement, has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room( couch, TV, DVDs,) and kitchen. Everything is furnished and sparkling clean! The other two bedrooms are taken by FEMALE residents and they are never home so you'll have the WHOLE place to yourself! HOWEVER< I am only willing to consider a FEMALE subletter...sorry guys..

Very spacious, lots of natural light, carpeted throughout (except for the bathroom & kitchen which have new tiles), brand new kitchen with brand new appliances, central air conditioning, central heat, garbage disposal, dishwasher...
There's an amazing view of the city from the living room, but the view from the rooftop is even better. It's the best view in the city. I'm not exaggerating at all.
Utilities are NOT included, but they're pretty cheap.
Every utility in the place comes together on one bill, and it ranges from about 75-120 a month...so for all you math whizzes out there, it's only about 35-60 bucks a person per month, for everything. That's not bad at all.
The amenities in the building are great, and the neighborhood is awesome. It's wicked close to both Jackson Square and Stony Brook on the orange line, as well as the E branch on the green line. It would be great for people who work in the Longwood area, or kids who go to Mass Art, Northeastern, U Mass...
I've had a LOT of people say they're interested in this place, and then back out on me last minute. Don't be one of those people. Please.
