While the job requires a bit of ordinary administrative work (about 5 hours a week), most of the work requires a very high level of skill in helping write research papers and grants, editing scientific content for the group's web-site, and editing a web-journal on mathematical biology. Such a job would be suitable for an individual who was in the world of work or academia, but has taken a step away (i.e. is raising a family, or is temporarily in the greater Boston area with a spouse who is in training), wants to work part time, but still wants to do something interesting and demanding. Most of the work can be done from home. The hours are completely flexible, involves interesting people and is interesting intrinsically. The work requires quite high level of skill, especially in writing. A bit of scientific knowledge would be useful, but is not essential.
