Local IT company seeks LAN cable Installer/Desktop Support intern for several small contract projects. This role could evolve into more of a Desktop Support opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

* Installation, termination, testing and labeling of (cat5, etc.).
* Moving and installation of shelves, power strips, patch panels, rails, cable management, and customer equipment.
* Report current status via the ticketing system, phone and email.
* Desktop support for Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7.
* Printer/Scanner troubleshooting.
* Network troubleshooting.

Qualifications
* Understanding of installation, termination and test of LAN cabling, patch panes, cable management.
* Basic understanding of TCP/IP
* Hands-on Windows (XP/Vista/Windows 7/2003/2008) desktop support experience.
* Windows Active Directory (desired but not required).
