OPEN ROLE: SENIOR INTERNET SOFTWARE ENGINEER
We're looking to expand our technology team by bringing on board talented individuals who have experience in software engineering, the Internet and an interest in ecommerce systems. Our broad product diversity and innovative business model pushes the limits of software innovation and creative problem solving in the retail industry. Responsibilities include:
Building web-based ecommerce applications to be integrated with and enhance our current platform
Working with several large and complex SQL Databases
Developing software algorithms to streamline back end business workflow
Producing robust, elegant and scalable software that performs well under high load
Being creative and resourceful to solve complex business challenges
Understanding our needs, risks and making appropriate technology decisions
Interacting with business leaders to understand project requirements and design appropriate technology solutions
Helping to mentor junior engineering staff
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering from a 4-year college or university
Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated achievement as a software developer in at least one programming language
Strong experience coding Internet applications that interact heavily with a database
Strong ability with SQL, databases and writing high-performance queries and stored procedures
Comfortable with writing effective web GUI relying on minimal client-side technology
A high degree of technical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and ability to work with an existing framework
Experience authoring client-side tools with JavaScript/AJAX a plus
Familiarity with TCP/IP and Ethernet networks a plus
