Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Support the End-user community by answering calls and requests for technical assistance. Diagnose and resolve PC and network problems and escalate serious issues to other I.T. staff members.
• Support the Windows Operating System and Office application suite. Provide End-users with basic instructions/training on computer use and network access.
• Set up PC hardware and install computer software for new employees and replacements PC’s.
• Install and configure computer accessories and small network/communications equipment.
• Record Help Desk requests in the tracking database and monitor the progress of resolution.
• Repair PC hardware and/or coordinate repairs with outside service providers.
• Maintain I.T. equipment inventory records.
• Administer network accounts and Active Directory in the Windows Server environment. Install and provide general support for other system software and administration tools.
• Assist in deployments of system software, such as upgrades or new installations.

Essential Qualifications:

Related work experience:
• 2-5 years of experience in PC Support preferred
• Proficiency in network and server administration
• 3+ years experience with Microsoft Windows operating system and MS Office productivity suite

Education:
• College Degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Skills/Training/Personal Characteristics:
• PC Installation and Repair
• Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 or Server 2008
• Microsoft Exchange 2003 or 2007
• Microsoft Certification – MCP, MCSA
• A+ (CompTIA) Certification
• Customer Service orientation and good End-User interaction skills
