ACCESS CONTROL ASSOCIATE
The Access Control Associate is responsible for the identity and access management function within all of our internal systems. The person filling this role will routinely interact with technical and non-technical departments and management at all levels and must have a professional client-facing manner. Reporting to the Information Security Manager they will have a substantial role to play in insuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information at athenahealth.
Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Executing approved access change requests and reviewing changes made by others for accuracy
- Developing/maintaining procedures detailing how access changes are to be performed and audited
- Assisting with the development of tools to automate the process of making access changes and reduce the potential for errors
- Developing and executing project plans for the implementation of best-practice methodology with regard to access control, including:
o Delegation of control
o Separation of duties
o Implementation of centralized audit capability
- Review security-related log files
- Generating reports/presentations associated with Information Security services/systems for presentation to management
- Creation of materials for use in educating employees on access control policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by the Information Security Manager and/or members of the Technology Department management team
Specific requirements of the Access Control Associate:
- Experience working with Active Directory
- Experience working with auditing teams
- Ability to independently manage many tasks at a time
- Strong communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills that are manifested in the candidate's ability to function as an important part of the larger technology team
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks
- Extremely high level of attention to detail
- Ability to complete multiple tasks accurately and efficiently
• Flexibility - willingness and ability to work unpredictable and sometimes late hours and perform a diverse array of tasks.
