Our dog, named Walker, went missing from Sheepfold Park on Friday July 25 around 2:00 pm. This is the big park that crosses into Stoneham / Melrose / Medford, also known as Middlesex Fells Reservation. I'll put all the details from the posted flier below. Many people have been searching for Walker since 2:00 yesterday, and believe he may have been stolen from the park. We really don't know, other than Walker went for a walk in the park (as he does all the time) and didn't return. If you have seen Walker either in person, or posted for sale on the Internet, please let me know as soon as you can.

Ricky is a great big lovebug of a cat who just LoveLoveLoveLOVES to be petted. He purrs and chirps and burbles to say �pet me!�. He is a great big burly boy with black fur and just one tuft of white on his belly. He turned up homeless last winter and was VERY happy to come inside and get warm.

Ricky is the first cat we have met who enjoys having his ears cleaned with Q-tips. When we first got him, he had a bad case of earmites, so maybe it felt good to get all the gunk out. But even now that the mites are long gone, he loves to have them cleaned�he wraps his front paws gently but tightly around our wrists while we swab the Q-tip around as if to say, �don�t stop, it feels so good!�

When we first got Ricky, he was a little touchy about having his belly rubbed. We didn�t know why, and then we found a small bump on his side. The vet said it was a beebee! So no wonder he was a little tender, poor guy. Some bratty kids must have been playing at shooting at the neighborhood cats. Ricky has gotten a lot more tolerant about belly rubs since then, but still occasionally gets a little annoyed about them. We think for this reason he would be OK in a home with older kids, but not toddlers.

Ricky enjoys playing with his catnip toys, and chasing a mousie on a string. He also has shown a nice, patient attitude with other young boy cats who want to roughhouse with him. So we would like to find him a home where he will have another young cat to hang out with.

Our vet says Ricky is about three and a half years old. He has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and microchipped. When we first got him, he tended to have soft stools, so our vet put him on a low-allergen food that solved the problem. He is an excellent eater and not at all fussy, but his new family will need to keep him on one of the low allergen foods (Royal Canin IVD, Hills ZD, or similar).

I have very easy-going, lovely, kind and very smart taba colored cat. She looks like a small tiger. Never hubs on the table or caoches unless you don't want to. She is very clean, likes to massage you :) She is the most adorable cat I have ever seen. She is like has just jumped out of a cartoon.
I had never took care a cat before and I loved it, however I should find a family for her. I will start my studies in Fall, will not be around. Her name is Boncuk and she was my proffessor's cat. Unfortunately, they also have a small baby girl and should be careful about the hair around.

I am considering a position that would require travel. Usually I only go away for a few days, but with this position I might be gone for a week, even 2 weeks. One of my concerns is that caring for my cat will be very expensive. Is there someone LOCAL, that would be able to provide quality care for my cat at a reasonable price? I'm thinking $150-$200 for a week. It won't take long (under 10 min, twice a day), so if you live nearby it would be a good deal but it is def is not enough money for it to be worth you taking the train to come over.

She does get a pill twice a day (please have experience giving a dog or cat a pill). She is blind so she does not fight it at all - it's very easy :-)

She has been my pet for 20 years and I love her very much, so this over protective "mommy" would like to breifly meet you first, show you where her food is, how I give her meds, etc. It's not a hard job, but if someone forgets to come or gives the wrong amount of meds, of course it would be a big problem so I'm just a little cautious :-) Thanks for understanding!

P.S.
Please do not reply if you are not local. I want this to be a good fit for BOTH OF US, and realistically you are not going to want to travel to Beacon Hill 2 TIMES a day for around $20 a day - thats just not fair to you. THANKS!

I would suggest taking him to another vet. Try City Cats in Arlington. Cats do not normally go outside their box. I had a male cat who had urinary tract issues and he would go outside the box. You will have a very hard time finding someone to take this cat. Please try and get a second opinion to see if there are truly medical issues.

I have been feeding a very affectionate stray female? cat that has wandered into my backyard. She needs some vet care and I do not have the money to take her there. Hello,

I think this is a long shot but it is certainly better than other alternatives...

I have a 4 year old male cat, UTD on all shots/vaccines, Neutered, and in good health that I rescued from a shelter when he was a kitten. He is a very sweet and loving animal. He has never scratched or hissed at me or any other person that he has encountered.

But, like I said, he is troubled.

Digger has completely stopped using the litter box. It has been about a year and there is nothing I can do to get him to use the box. I have taken him to the vet several times to rule out any health issues. I have researched this matter and tried everything imaginable to get him to use the box but still he won't. I have consulted more than one professional and everyone seems to be stumped. I am really in a desperate situation here.

Digger is also extremely timid. He hides often. He can not handle any loud noises or children. He will not do well in a home with dogs or other cats. He hates kennels and any kind of traveling. When you take him to the vet expect him to be extremely vocal. When he is uncomfortable he meows loudly.

Aside from all his problems he is very beautiful and actually a very sweet animal. He likes to play and give head butt kisses constantly. I've come to the realization that maybe its my home that he is upset with. It makes me so sad to have to do this. Is there any one out there willing to take on this special needs cat?

Little Vincent turned up homeless in a vacant lot on a cold, windy night a few months ago, hungry and skinny. When he saw us, he looked worried and hopeful all at the same time. We coaxed him over to eat a can of cat food (which he bolted down), then brought him inside to get warmed up.

This handsome little brown tabby turned out to be a very lovable little guy, a real lapcat who loves to snuggle and be petted. He comes over and puts his front paws up on your lap and chirps to say, "can I come up, please?" He politely waits for you to pick him up, then snuggles up, purrs, and chats.

He�s also a wild and crazy boy who likes to run around at 90 miles an hour, chasing his toys or any other cat who will agree to be chased. He likes playing rough and tumble with other cats, so we would like to find him a home with another energetic young cat for a companion.

Vincent has been neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, and microchipped. He is about 11 months old, so he is really still almost a kitten and acts like it lots of the time. So I have an interesting proposition for anyone who interested. My sister has this beautiful white cat with blue eyes. Her name is Cleo. She is a healthy cat and is up to date on all her shots. Vet references available if needed.

Originally when they (my sister and her husband) got her as a kitten she was shy but nice. At that time they lived in a small apartment where she seemed to be very comfortable. They soon upgraded to a house and that�s when things seem to unravel for Cleo. She became very annoyed at everything and now hides in1 bedroom of the house and does not come out. My sister and her husband work most of the day and don�t have the time to tend to her needs. We would like to find someone who can give her a better quality of life.

I will be honest, she needs a cat whisper. We are looking for someone who has the patients to work with her and gain her trust. I think she would do best in a household with no other pets or small children. We don�t want to bring her to the shelter because most likely she will be euthanatized for her trust issues. Hello everyone!! My name is pumpkin. And like the title says don�t let that name fool you. I am not round like a pumpkin I am actually quite skinny despite my many litters of kittens they think I have had. I have somehow maintained my girlish figure. But my foster mom keeps telling me to eat up cause she says I am all skin and bones. She has been feeding me wet and dry food to try and fatten me up a bit for my new FURever home I am looking for. The nice people at Second Chance Shelter for Cats think I am a little over a year old, I am a calico cat. They say I�m very pretty but I don�t let it go to my head. But I am finally spayed and up to date on all of my shots, I have been de-wormed. And good news� I have tested negative for FelineHIV, and I'm negative for Feline Leukemia. I am really friendly towards people but I think the year I spent on the streets in Jamaica Plain fighting for food has left me a little weary of other cats.. I think I might like to be your only one, I don't really get along with my foster moms cats. I haven't really been around dogs but if I don't like other cats, my guess is I'm not going to like dogs. But I love humans and once I warm up to you I will sit on your lap and purrrrrrrrr... and I found that I like to be scratched and rubbed.
I love my foster home but they have 3 other cats. I sometimes find it fun to hide under the bed and scare the other kitties when they come in the room. I�ve gotten them to jump a couple of times. It makes me giggle.

Six year old neutered male--up to date on vaccinations. This cat has been a very friendly and docile cat for all his life but he attacked my housekeeper while I was on vacation. She was not bitten and this may have only been some extreme form of separation anxiety. However we just don't feel we can trust him and so would like to offer to rehome him instead of looking at alternatives. I believe he could make an excellent pet for someone who is willing to take a chance and who does not have young children. He has lived with dogs but not with other cats.

He is active, vocal, has been an indoor cat all his life but is always trying to get outside.

Yes. There are doggy parents with full time jobs. My 2 adult small dogs are home during the day for 8 hours a day on weekdays. Ideally, I would like it to be less, but they enjoy eachother's company. Older laid back dogs tend to do well with a working parent(s). I would say no more than 8 hours for sure. Less than 8 would be better. Also, a dog should not be crated that long though...so I wouldn't plan on crate training. Please understand that your dog may have an occasional accident (even if trained) due to your hours. Just some things to think about. It sounds like some dog will be lucky to have such a responsible owner who has really giving pet ownership some thought. Good luck! Hi...I am starting to research adopting a dog and am hoping for some advice. I have owned dogs in the past, but never while working a full time day job. I'm looking for a grown dog (not a puppy), but I'm concerned about how long I can reasonably leave a dog during the day. I have budgeted for food and vet services but think that a daily dog walker would be out of my range. Are there any dog-owners out there who work full time who could give me some advice? Is it ok to leave Fido during the weekdays? All dog owners can't be stay at home moms, students or part-timers right?

I'd really appreciate it. I want to make a responsible decision here.

The woman said you can go to this address and surrender the cat. The shelter does have rules, but if it's healthy, they will try to adopt it out.

I have to rehome my two mini rex rabbits. They will come with cage, water bottle, and any left over food and hay I have. The cage is 43" square and about 30" high. I do not have a picture of teh cage to post but email for them. They are about 10 months old and they are sisters so I would like them to go together. Adoption screening done by application; must be able to pick Laker up in PA. He is well worth the trip! (consider combining the trip to include a family adventure and visit places like Hershey Park along the way! Just a thought!)
