Due to the large number of received applications, we are not actively reviewing new submissions at this time. However, should you wish you may send information to hr-cl012912-post@technofrolics.com. We are always interested in keeping talented people on file for possible projects. (And if for some unexpected reason current applicant pool proves insufficient, we will review later submissions.) Wednesday, 2/1/12, 12:00 Noon EST.

Introduction:

TechnoFrolics is a small, award-winning design studio that combines art, science, education, and engineering. Our creations range from choreographed dancing sculptures to interactive museum exhibits to innovative imaging tools. Please check out our 1 minute video at www.technofrolics.com.

Our studio is located on the Cambridge/Somerville line. Our clients range from the Arizona Science Center to Tufts University to Ford Motor Company to the Japanese Government.

We are looking for highly competent, quick-learning, proactive contributor(s), to help us with outreach/marketing, office/admin/coordination, and potentially production. See below for more detail.

Ideal Candidate:

It is assumed that individuals with the above qualifications are already at least cursorily familiar with such things as Word, Excel, Adobe's design & production tools (e.g., Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Premiere), email clients (e.g. Eudora, Outlook Express), HTML and CSS, etc., and/or could learn the basics of such items quickly as needed.

Our most urgent need:

And periodically/interleaved:

Please note that while the predominance of TechnoFrolics work has been and continues to be in the area of science-artworks and educational museum exhibits, for many reasons we are in the process of expanding our market to other areas. More specifically and for example, a significant part of our current focus is on exploring the research, analysis, and medical applications of our FrameGlide software environment. Please visit our beta site www.temporalinnovations.com for further information.

Part Time vs. Full Time: This will depend on various factors on both your side and ours.
Flexible Hours.
Telecommuting: If/as/when practical.

Compensation $15-$20/hr.
[We are well aware that persons meeting our requirements are worth far more than this, but with the majority of our current clients in the non-profit world, our resources are limited. We hope that the non-financial benefits of working with us may compensate, and that with your help, we can move our business to the next level!]

Our situation could be ideal for: A recent graduate, retired professional (when practical for the contributor, we also welcome volunteers), someone wanting a break from industry/corporate life, parent needing flex-time, etc.

To Apply:

Interested parties should respond by email to (removed) with whatever collection of information would best allow us to get to know you, your education, experiences, and work. This should include, at a minimum, a cover letter, resume, and desired hours/week of work. We encourage elements both "formal" (e.g., a resume) and "informal" (e.g., a particularly eloquent or funny email to a friend).

Please see www.technofrolics.com/about/opportunities for additional "generic" employment information.
