If you can do anything else, you should.

But if you can't sit by idly and watch 13.1 million people starve to death in East Africa. If you can't ignore government cuts to reproductive healthcare and legislation that discriminates against certain population. If you are not okay with environmental protections being eliminated; then this is the position for you.

Since 2003, Grassroots Campaigns has been working on the frontlines of these different issues. By running campaigns for groups like Oxfam America, Save the Children and the ACLU, our focus has been building support for these organizations all across the United States.

Grassroots Campaigns is hiring Assistant Directors to help run campaigns all across the United States. Assistant Directors will work as a team to manage one of our fundraising campaign offices, to build community support, educate the public and recruit new members for one of the progressive organizations or charities we partner with.

Job responsibilities include:
Recruit a team of 10-40 canvassers to represent top issue based organizations on the front lines of the progressive movement. Develop and Implement a plan to hire talented staff, typically between 10 and 20 people.

Promote staff into leadership positions and develop the next generation of progressive leaders.
Canvass to raise funds and build support in the community. Lead staff by example and work on the front lines on the most important issues facing our nation.

Requirements for Position: Strong communication and motivational skills, work ethic, and desire for political change are essential. Candidates must be able to work within a team, have proven leadership ability and an orientation towards handling a lot of responsibility. Strong self-direction and the ability to take initiative are also necessary qualifications. Previous field or canvassing experience is a plus, and may qualify candidates for additional leadership positions.
