I just got it, but I think ultimately I am looking for a more vintage tone. I am open to trades, because the money is just going to go another bass head. My number one would be a British made, 300-ish watt TRACE ELLIOT (GP12 AH300whatever) with the black light! I'm definitely interested in 2 ohm capable heads, so SWR Bass 350/750 would be awesome, or a Sovtek Mig 100B. I'd even consider an old Peavey (I'm a Peavey lover, not a hater), so if you have a Firebass/Max 450/Max700 (you'd probably would have to throw in a little cash for a Peavey)... Interested in Ampeg too, vintage Acoustic, traynor, markbass (I could add a LITTLE cash...), ummm... maybe an oddball tube amp I didn't list. I wouldn't say no to an Eden or Aguilar, but I do live in reality...Anyway, let me know.

The guitar has a single P-90 pickup that sounds great. Playing clean, you can get some sweet almost jazzy tones, and even a bit of a Telecaster sound if you work the tone knob. With just a bit of overdrive, though, the pickup has that classic P-90 growl that you hear from Green Day, Leslie West (Mississippi Queen) and many others. I hate to see this go, but if I want to stay married I need to keep the guitar collection to a manageable size.

While the actual rack says Series 1E, these strips are from a Series 1 console.

Ok, now all of the imperfections for full disclosure. They were all there when I got the bass. None of these effect the playability in any way but here you go. There's a missing screw for the control cavity cover. I don't have one that will fit but that's an easy fix for someone. There isn't a truss rod cover. There's an area slightly larger than a quarter on the top of the body where the green/blue coloring is faded. There's a thin crack that looks like it was created by someone tightening the B string tuner screw too tight at the back of the headstock. It's been professionally fixed/filled with heavy duty glue. It shouldn't ever pose a problem. There was a small spot of the fingerboard where it looks like someone dropped the bass onto something and nicked it. It's at the 11th fret on the edge of the treble side. That was filled with what looks like glue as well....I actually had forgotten about it since it was fixed. It's not something that you'd ever notice while playing the bass and it's something that you have to look for now.

So basically this bass has gotten a complete face lift. This is an amazing bass for someone that wants a great sounding/playing 6 string without spending a lot of dough.

The bass does not have a case.

I can't seem to find someone with a scale to weigh the bass.....as soon as I get that info I'll post it here.

I really loved this unit, and I've never had a single problem with it, I really like Torq, too. The seamless integration of the two is outstanding. No assigning controls, just plug and play. What else could you want?
