Work under the direction of an experienced marketing professional in a budding small full-service marketing agency. The agency specializes in go-to-market strategies for new and not so new companies, products and services with a focus on new media, social media and PR.

• Market analysis and segmentation;
• Partnership development and execution;
• PR and Influentials outreach;
• Social media strategy and execution;
• Development of marketing collateral, including new media, corporate blogs, white papers, etc;
• Lead generation and management (incl. SEO and SEM);
• Sales support
The agency specializes in start-ups and early stage companies. We work with web-based and traditional businesses in the high-tech, media and entertainment, services and consumer products industries.
RESPONSIBILIITIES
You will be involved in a broad range of tasks in the areas of:
i) Research, analysis and preparation of deliverables
ii) PR: messaging, pitching development and outreach, media relations
iii) Social media program development execution
The research and client deliverables tasks include:
• Locating, summarizing and reporting on market and industry studies
• Performing industry research and competitive analysis to assist in positioning strategies
• Preparation of marketing presentations
• Development of marketing collateral, press materials, etc
The PR component of the job includes:
• Developing media lists using industry tools;
• Researching media profiles, and editorial opportunities, adding to a database tool
• Creating pitching materials and press kits
• Conducting media outreach and follow-ups via both email and phone
• Preparing weekly progress reports fro clients
Social Media strategy planning and execution responsibilities include:
• Execute campaigns on social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube & Linked-in
• Writing blogposts and email campaigns
Lead generation deliverables:
• Developing lead gen sources: creation of lists, negotiation with list providers, testing and optimizing both the sources and the messaging
• Developing acquisition materials for lead gen – emails, direct mail packages
• Affiliate Marketing, AdWords, Analytics
• Managing partner outreach
REQUIREMENTS
• Solid academic record and experience in marketing, business or social sciences
• 3-5 yrs experience in some or all of the above
• A flexible, dependable and energetic self-starter
Required skills:
• Strong knowledge of marketing concepts and work products
• Outstanding research skills
• Outstanding report writing and written communication skills
• Proven problem-solving and task completion skills
• Ability to summarize large amounts of research materials
• Exceptional time-management skills; comfortable in an unstructured environment; ability to produce work products with little supervision and within deadlines
• Unrestricted access to a computer, cell-phone and an office/work space; (this is predominantly a virtual office position)
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, web-based applications and basic Excel; desire to learn and apply a project management and time-tracking software package.
