I have a 2004 vw passat wagon that needs some help. I was driving down comm ave and some BC girl from New Jersey forced me off the road while she was on her cell.
She drove away blissfully unaware that she has broken something on my car.

The plastic shielding (skid pan?) came totally off the car and was subsequently run over so I couldn't put it back on.

I have driven the car for about two weeks and it was fine. Now there is a clanking noise under the car like something is rattling around.

If you are not a hack, really know what you are doing, and charge reasonable rates then I would love to hire you. I know you have to make a living too, but price is important right now because xmas is right around the corner.

I posted an ad looking for someone to shovel a courtyard in the North End and then looked at CL and noticed that people that offered this service were posting at much less than I was offering.
Due to economics, I, like everyone else is trying to budget their money. Because of this I am reposting to get estimates.
Here's what I am looking for:
Clear a 2 foot wide path by 75 foot long courtyard.
Then branch off to four door ways.
Need reliable responsible local or business that provides this service. There are ten rental units which need to be cleared for liability reasons. There are a few elderly folks and people with medical issues that may need to come and go during snowfalls.
Would be interested in shoveling or blowing anytime we have 3" or more of snow.
I cannot provide a parking space so please keep that in mind.

Please give a rate by snowfall.
And is that rate for one visit or for multiple visits per storm.
Snow blowing is fine and obviously quicker. I would estimate ten minutes with a blower, 30 by shovel.

Ask these generals when their looking for subs, "where is you're regular electrician or plumber, etc." "Am I going to be given a 1099." Remember, these generals are not only making their own profit from the work their actually doing on the job; but their taking our number and adding their 20% or 30% onto it, then their claiming their subs as employees and getting a tax break on us. Forget these generals when they try and low-ball you and use the "economy" as an excuse to drop your number; and if they are going to 1099 you, it has to be for work over $600, and Uncle Sam usually takes 20% off the top, so add the 20% onto your price to make up for it. Get yours my fellow sub-contractors....God knows these general contractors are!!
