Occasionally, a pet parrot will join a flock of wild birds because they feel safer in a flock than being alone. The wild birds will not mate with the "strangers," but they will let them travel with them and share food/water/shelter.

It is difficult to tell if the birds sighted in Quincy and elsewhere, are pets or wild. Which is why the owners need to know where the sightings are, so they can help their birds come home.

Please continue to post sightings of green parrots or any other unusual sightings. My beloved bird has been missing for three weeks and I still pray for his safe return. And no, he was not flying free outdoors with or without me. A contractor's mistake resulted in him getting out.on a 60 degree Sunday. So please save the lectures for pet owners who truly are negligent. On second thought, they don't need your lectures either.

My flute was stolen In September of 2007. I filed an official police report to the police in Malden, MA where it was stolen, but I couldn't find the serial number of the flute, so I was basically powerless to look for it. Five minutes ago, I was looking through my old music books, and I found that I had written the serial number in one of the books!!! It's two years later, so I'm basically asking for a Christmas miracle! It's not your fault if you've unknowingly bought a stolen instrument, but please don't keep it if this is the serial number:

It is a solid silver open-holed intermediate student model, which was in very good condition when it was stolen (except for a very small dent). It came with a hard case, and a soft leather-like carry case with a handle.

My parents bought this instrument for me when I was in high school on December 1, 1997 as a Christmas gift. At the time, it cost them $936. This was the most precious gift my parents ever gave me, and unfortunately, my family has since hit a long period of financial hardship that makes it impossible for me or my parents to buy this kind of instrument. Maybe you come from a family that is well off, and you can afford to give the gift of giving my flute back to me. I know this is an absolute shot in the dark, but I thought it couldn't hurt to try.

Spotted an orange cat in the Savin Hill area of Dorchester. On Roach Street, between Deer Street and Pleasant Street.

Fairly large orange cat (shorthaired, I think). White tips on front paws. Substantial white area on chest. Green/hazel eyes? Ringed stripes on tail. Could not tell gender from where I was standing. No collar. Looked dirty and wet : (

I called to him/her for about 3-4 minutes. He stayed about 10-15 feet away from me but kept looking at me. Seemed socialized -- like a lost pet. I remember a poster here who had lost an orange cat in savin hill -- I hope this one's yours and that you find him/her! I will also keep my eyes peeled for him/her when I'm in the neighborhood.

So...I found a nice digital camera on the T in like 2007. There was no one on the T at the time and the camera was just lying on a seat. I believe it was the green B or C line...but it could have been a different T line as well. Anyway, at the time I thought, hey, free camera! But now I am feeling bad that I never tried to find its owner. I looked through the pictures on the memory disk of the camera and I feel so bad! All the picturers are of what appears to be a nice family...mom, dad, and their two sons. Looks like they went to Fenway and some other places around Boston together like J.P. Licks, etc. Anyway, this is a long shot, but i figured, hey, why not try to find the nice family who lost this camera on their trip to Boston a few years ago. If you can give me any info on the camera or of the pictures to verify it's your family's, please email me. Thank you, and I want to apologize to you, nice family...sorry that it took me years to try to find you and give you back your camera and your memories.
