Looking for something around $500 or so per month...I am a mature divorced (for 5 years) woman looking for a short-term, probably longer, rental. Perhaps you have a vacant home you can't sell right now; OR maybe you are on a sabbatical for a year or so. I am the perfect tenant, have lovely furniture (cherry, antiques, oriental rugs, great art!!) perfect for hardwood floors! Ideally, I would like to be moved in by end of January, 2010. I live a rather quiet life, am very responsible, have no pets, children are grown, no grandchildren visiting! I would like off-street parking, if possible. I have excellent personal and professional references as a teacher in an established Cambridge area private school. I also own a lovely home out-of-state where I stay for the summer.
I would also consider a mother-in-law type apartment situation. What do you have that sounds like it fits the bill for me? Or perhaps you would like to split the rent and share something with me? I am not gender-biased and would consider sharing an apartment or house with another older professional person.
I am an excellent baker, cook, play tennis, walk, read a lot, am an interesting, outgoing, well-traveled person.

Im posting this ad just to kind of get an idea whats out there for me. Im currently living in Braintree with my fiance and one roommate. My fiance is deploying to afghanistan in January so quite a bit of responsibility will be on my shoulders. Our lease is up on June 31st, and we wont get the same rate if we sign on for another year, our rent will go up drastically. So needless to say, im going to have to move. I would like to be in a new place by june 1st, giving me a month to move in gradually instead of stressing out over doing it almost alone. We're in a very nice apartment but we sacrifice a few areas. We're borderline a rough area, so our neighbors are less than desirable, its very noisy, the cops are always here, we have all white carpeting, the toilets suck, etc. We have a 1400 sq ft. 2 bed 2 bath place and the kicker, we have 7 pets. It sounds like a ton, but ill give you the run down. We have a kitten, whos fully vetted and 6 months old. We have a hamster, who doesnt run around the house, hes in his cage unless hes in his ball so its not like he affects anything. We have 2 guinea pigs, who have a large cage with a cover, and dont come out unless theyre getting bathed, or if its summer they go on the patio. Last, we have 3 ferrets. They also have a very large cage which they spend quite a bit of time in, they do run around the house and play with the cat, but they are litter box trained and have never ruined anything or even scratched anything. So in all reality, the cat and the ferrets are the only ones that see the house. Im tired of having to hide my pets, or argue over fees. This is what i have, im an animal lover, but im also an insane neatfreak. My house is never dirty, never smells, and my animals are extremely well taken care of. I would love to find a place where they wouldnt be an issue. My only requirements in my next apartment are hardwood floors in at least most of the house, washer and dryer in the unit, preferably 3 bedrooms, at least 2 bathrooms, a safe neighborhood, a patio or porch, thats about it. If theres anyone out there who rents property and maybe will have something available around june, please contact me. Id feel so much better knowing id have something when the time came. Im not really picky about what city, price can be flexible, id even be willing to possibly pay the whole lease up front. Im just hoping to find someone willing to take on me and my zoo =)
