Anxiety & Panic Disorder 5 Week Course (Newton)

Life is so very precious, and everyone is worthy of living a full and happy life. Anxiety can make one feel isolated, fearful, overwhelmed, and without direction. Do not suffer in silence. I am a Certified Life Coach and Energy Healer; I can easily relate to those having this struggle. I overcome many years of dealing with anxiety and panic, and I am committed to helping others overcome their struggle. I've helped many people understand what anxiety is, and I work closely with individuals, helping them to create coping skills so they then can lead a more happy and productive life. My approach to anxiety: Anxiety effects are whole- being. We need to work on all three levels; psychological, physical, and spiritual. We will expose the negative thought pattern, and learn how to create positive balanced thoughts. You will learn this process and begin to integrate it into your life. You are what you think! You will come to understand what actually happens in your body while experiencing anxiety and all of its physical symptoms. This knowledge will bring a sense of relief. Once you understand the physical effects of anxiety, you won’t fear what you feel. We will be exploring spirituality, meaning, and purpose. By doing so, we will create a foundation and a new belief system. This will bring you a true sense of wholeness.

This is not some kind of kinky spouse-swapping group, just for the record. This is for people who have maybe gone to a few of the events organized through Boston Linkup, and maybe you've noticed that almost everyone else here is single. Maybe you've noticed that all of your friends are either single or having babies. Join the club.

This group is for people who want to enjoy what it means to be an adult in a couple in Boston. Just because you are in love doesn't mean you can't meet new people. And just because all of your friends have kids doesn't mean you have to eat at only "kid-friendly" restaurants. Your life is not over!
Socializing is not just for singles!

"Luneditaliano" (pagina web http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lunedi_italiano) is a community of Italians and Italophiles (not necessarily of Italian descent) that meets in the Boston/Cambridge, Massachusetts area to converse in Italian and attend many of the Italian cultural events in Boston and environs. This Italian conversation group alternates Monday evening meetings between the Cafe Paradiso in the North End of Boston (all levels welcome: meetings start at 7 p.m.: for dates see http://italian.meetup.com/374) and the Cafe Andala in Central Square (meetings start at around 8 p.m: advanced speaking ability/native fluency strongly recommended).

I was diagnosed this year, though I have actually had focal seizures my whole life. I never knew what they were until they became more frequent and recognizable, leading to falls and lost consciousness. I was put on a few different medications with little success and still have quite a few seizures. I am finding adjusting to the diagnosis difficult (especially because I lived for so long with the hallucinatory experiences and just accepted them as a part of me) and the side effects of the medications leave me so tired, dizzy, and uninspired. I have a great family and supportive friends but I would love to connect with other people who are going through or have gone through something similar. Particularly people who are also in their twenties, though help from anyone would be appreciated. I have found quite a few resources online but would like to meet with people in person, so if you know of a good support group nearby or would like to start either a formal or an informal one with me, please let me know.

http://entrepreneur.meetup.com/1823/ Meet a new network of local technology entrepreneurs.

The multi-disciplinary subjects of raising and utilizing different forms of capital, building alliances and structuring deals are included as part of the programming, and serve as tools for the entrepreneur and researcher to commercialize science and technology.

Collaboration to Commercialization

The EntreTech Forum's June 17th panel discussion focuses on intellectual property, licensing and the technology transfer process out of the region's leading academic programs. The core question put before our panelists will be: How is intellectual property managed via the patent and/or licensing process as academic research moves from concept to commercialization? The panel will be asked to bring meaningful examples to the discussion to emphasis the EntreTech Forum's focus on real-world inputs/outputs/incentives/issues. More>>

Do you have to provide deep tissue massage and have no idea how to do it? If you answered yes to any of these questions I can help you.

I am a Massage Therapist in the Packards Corner area and am interested in helping other therapists get through the "what do I do after I finish school" time. Tutoring new techniques, or figuring out how you work with clients. I have been a Massage Therapist for 15 years and have worked with athletes, performers all over New England.

My rate is only a consulting fee of $60 per hour, you provide the space, and the practice body.
I look forward to hearing from you.

The purpose of this group is to provide activities which people can bring their dogs to. Since we usually cannot bring our dogs to restaurants, movies, museums or on bike rides, let's plan more events where they are welcome. Some obvious activities will be easy to moderate hikes, trips to dog friendly beaches and parks.

I realize members are from a wide variety of areas and what might be convenient for someone in Quincy may not be so for someone in Worcester. I encourage people to schedule events in different areas. Also keep in mind that your dog does like to go for trips in the car.

I look forward to your participation and ideas. All members are encouraged to organize at least one event per year.
Nonprofit organizations face a common issue of needing to raise funds from multiple sources to support their programs. Unfortunately, grant applications from different funders usually vary in proposal format, documentation requirements and budget templates, which can present a significant challenge, particularly to smaller to mid-sized organizations. Moreover, applications for smaller grants often call for the same demanding proposal and reporting requirements as the larger ones, which often strain their limited capacity. This is why a recently published report called "Drowning in Paperwork, Distracted from Purpose," by a group called Project Streamline http://www.projectstreamline.org , is particularly interesting and relevant. The report is a credible effort in calling for foundations to adopt certain practices that aim to streamline the grant application and reporting processes. Funded by some of the country's largest and well-known foundations, Project Streamline is an impressive collaborative effort among many of the major philanthropic and nonprofit membership groups.
