The Women’s Center offers support groups and services to help women, and we need your support. Shop for delightful, holiday, homemade gingerbread houses, buttery-almond or sesame sugar cookies, mini-pumpkin tarts, pear with spearmint pies to support the Women’s Center.
Cambridge Directions: From Central Square, take River Street to Pleasant Street. From Harvard or Kendal Squares, take Massachusetts Avenue to Central Square and then go on to River Street which forks onto Pleasant Street.
This Cambridge Center offers a wide variety of programming to meet the various needs of women in our community. We provide peer support, information, and education concerning issues that affect women. In addition, we address the societal causes of women's issues through organizing, advocacy, and activism.
The Women’s Center goal is to help and nurture as many women as possible. Please go to the website www.cambridgewomenscenter.org for more information about volunteering, support groups and services. For example the Cambridge Women’s Center:
• Provided 60 families with free mother-child art classes during the past year alone
• Assisted in forming the first battered women's shelter in the state, Transition House, in 1973
