idGroup is in need of a Senior Electrical Engineer. We are looking for a person experienced in electrical design, including power generation and distribution, lighting and general electrical systems for buildings. We are an architecture and engineering firm that functions as an integrated team to better communicate and coordinate efforts to complete projects more efficiently. Your project involvement will include several types of facilities including laboratories, high-tech manufacturing, corporate office buildings, central utilities plants, data centers, and other mission critical facilities.

As an Electrical Engineer at idGroup, your responsibilities will be wide-ranging. These responsibilities will include: Perform functions to develop / design engineering solutions for new or existing buildings or processes. Lead the electrical design effort for multiple projects, delegating responsibilities to support staff. Work under broad direction from requirements described in the associated project scope document or other work instructions provided by the Project Manager. Establish and develop detailed project plans and specifications through engineering calculations and layouts to meet the customer's requirements in compliance with statutory or regulatory requirements. Communicate with clients, in-house resources and vendors to obtain information and assistance. Provide technical expertise to assist/train less experienced designers/engineers. Assist the Project Manager in the planning, development and administration of the engineering project. Prepare scope of work descriptions and man-hour estimates for project proposals; attend business development meetings with prospective clients to assist sales staff on technical level.
Qualifications:
- A BSEE degree
- PE Preferred
- 10+ years experience
- Must have Project Leadership Skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Auto Cad experience required
- SKM or other short circuit / load analysis software a plus
- Must have knowledge of the National Electric Code
- Must be able to work within a team environment
- Must have excellent communication skills – both oral and written
