We are seeking an ambitious and technically-oriented sales and marketing professional for our Newton office to serve the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. This newly-created Sales/Marketing Business Development Specialist position is highly interactive and will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to work across departments internally and interface with customers on a daily basis.
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, an innovative thinker, and have the determination to be successful. Candidates must have an outgoing and energetic personality with the ability to solve problems efficiently. A background or interest in Engineering/Science is very important.
Responsibilities:
Outbound telephone and email communications to promote and sell services directly, qualify leads and schedule equipment sales meetings
Participate in the launch of new products and services to customers and prospects
Assist with marketing activities specifically in the areas of public relations, case study interviews, and webinar/email campaigns
May require some travel for trade shows and corporate training and meetings
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering related discipline required; preferably Chemical, Biology or Pharmaceutical disciplines
0-2 years of successful sales and marketing experience
Fast learner who can understand complex needs of customers relating to nanotechnology drug development and delivery
Outgoing and energetic
High attention to detail and quality
Professional business acumen and diplomacy skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Organized with ability to manage and meet tight deadlines
Self-starter with initiative who thrives in an innovative
Highly developed computer skills - MS Office required. Web design, maintenance and email marketing a plus
