On a whim, I bought a 2009 Trek Lime automatic shifting bike, and now I need the money... FAST!

I have only ridden this awesome bike 3 times. I love, love, LOVE it, and am only selling it because I need the money.

The coolest part of this pike is that it shifts automatically by an electronic component powered by a generator inside the bike.

It is unisex style and comes complete with front basket, bell, mounted water holder and U-lock with keys. It is titanium (silver) with blue trim, but you can purchase other colors to swap out the trim at any Trek dealer. Look here for a detailed description:

I am looking to get a mountain bike, so selling my trusty bike that has gotten me around the past 2 years. It is a silver Univega, 26" wheels I believe and fairly large frame, built for someone between maybe 5'7" and 6'3-4". It's sort of a cross between a road bike and a mountain bike -- comfortable upright riding position and some knobs on the tires for grip, but skinny wheels so fast like a road bike. Nice comfortable seat, can ride it all day.

I'm an auto mechanic and meticulous about maintaining my stuff, so this bike has gotten frequent and regular tuneups, adjustments, lubrication, etc. Everything is in great shape and recently gone through mechanically and calibrated, from the chain to the shifting mechanisms to the brakes. It has a 21-speed gear set and Grip Shift shifters. Bike is in mechanically perfect condition. Cosmetically it is nice as well.

Please do not flag! Very legit warning to follow. The bike listed under the Posting title above is potentially dangerous! In fact, any old multispeed road bike where the derailleurs are removed and the chain is shortened to make it a "converted" "single speed" is potentially dangerous.

If the chain tension is not perfect, then, during a sprint the chain can switch to the larger cog causing one of three things to happen:

1. The wheel is pulled out of the frame
2. only the drive side is pulled out, binding the wheel.
3. The wheel is so tight in the frame, that the chainstay bends.

All of these can cause a crash. This setup should only be used in emergency situations when your rear derailleur breaks and you need to get your bike working to get home. Even then, cyclists know to ride carefully.

Motobecane Fixed Gear- 55 cm (Chestnut Hill) $250

So, I just bought a new bike and I don�t have room to keep 2, so this one is out. It is a 1980s Motobecane Super Mirage that I converted to fixed gear and have been riding around Boston in its current getup for a little over a month.

The frame is in very good shape, with no cracks or bends in it. There is a little bit of surface rust, but only in place where the paint has rubbed off, such as where the rear derailleur used to be. The frame is about a 55cm size. I am 5�6� and it fits me, but is a shade big. I would recommend it to someone a bit taller, from 5�8�-6�.

To make it a fixed gear, I removed both derailleurs, shifters, and rear brake. I kept the front brake attached as it was. I switched out the rear wheel for a Sunrims CR18 rear with a 17 tooth fixed cog and a 16 tooth freewheel(so you could make it a single speed if you want). I also upgraded the pedals to new black aluminum ones with silver toeclips made by MKS. There is also new bar tape, new inner tubes, and fairly new Kenda tires.

I've owned this indoor bike trainer for over 10 years but am moving and can't take it along. It's been well maintained and is in good shape.

I got a real-wheel only trainer as a gift that I will take with me because it is small, but I really prefer the stability you get with this front-and-rear design. The frame sits on 4 leveling feet, making it extremely stable on hard surfaces or carpet.

Riding your own bike indoors sure beats those clunky exercise bikes. You just take the front wheel off your bike and clamp the front fork in the quick release mechanism (photo 2) and two stabilizers clamp around your rear axle.
Your rear wheel rests on a cylinder/flywheel (photo 3) that provides adjustable magnetic resistance so you can vary your workout. The resistance control mounts on your handlebars (photo 4) so you can easily make changes during your workout without dismounting. Everything is fully-adjustable to handle road, hybrid or mountain bikes.

Please note that even though the trainer frame is over 10 years old, I recently replaced the magnetic resistance unit/flywheel unit -- it is brand new and has never been used. The photo shows the old unit. The new unit has a similar design.

Similar trainers sell new for $250-plus.

Yellow �Raleigh� bicycle, about 24" frame, slightly oversized, with double springs on the leathered seat and silver front fork. Brakes and rides perfectly. The shifting lever on the handlebar had been banged against the wall and the cover from the box is lost, so it could use a functioning cable to allow for properly working gear shift, but gears can still be changed manually (to avoid fumbling with manual gear shifts, it has been ridden in one gear with no problems). Tires are good and retain air well (last time inflated two years ago and still holds the air). The seat is currently completely lowered, and would suit someone in the 5'8" range, though it can be adjusted. The seat is oversized (the same as the bicycle itself), but, despite of the looks, the bike is still fairly light and easy to handle. The chain is made of some rust-proof metal and has silver and golden colored plated links. The yellow paint is in very good condition despite of the age. Bought used, still in working shape.

This road bike has roughly 600 miles on it. The miles are from everyday city use and thus there is the normal cosmetic wear and a slight warp in the rear wheel which makes for less than ideal braking, but does not affect general ridability.

Pair of Specialized Armadillo Bicycle Tires 700 x 25C with less than one mile on them. I purchased them 2 weeks ago from Ace Wheel Works for $105.
I just got a new bike and these tires don't fit, so i'm selling them.
My last pair lasted 17+ months with no flats. Best tires for flat protection and wear hands down. These will last twice as long as cheaper tires, you'll save money on tubes, and prevent being stranded with a flat.

I believe only two stores in the Boston area carry them (Ace and Backbay) and they both charge $105 for a pair.

I have been contacted by 3 willing buyers and none have followed through, so please be sure.

This is a brand new, never used Cane Creek IS-2 headset, designed for use in frames that use integrated headsets. This is the "tall" version (difference can be seen here: http://www.cyclestore.co.uk/images/products/large/5217.jpg ) and is designed to fit a 1-1/8" diameter steerer tube.

I bought this for a fixed gear that I'm building, but it turns out the frame is actually a zero-stack style headset, not an integrated headset, so this one won't work for me. It comes in the original box, it has never been installed, and comes with all the parts (including about 1.5" of spacers) as well as the installation instructions.
