Consider: Obviously money's always tight, especially for artists (and models!), but hiring an amateur might not help you best generate that symbiotic energy condusive to the best piece you can create.
AMATEURS: * Dice roll * Might not show up on time / at all * Don't have an aresenal of poses or a good ability to improvise * Aren't always "comfortable being uncomfortable" * Don't have the experience to know their limits / what kind of poses are do-able for various periods of time * Can be sketchy (pun intended) and reasons for modeling might be of concern * Aren't adept at anticipating what an artist wants and needs * Can be frustrating, a waste of time, or unhelpful to your purposes *
PROS: * Show up on time / Reliable * Work with you to create just what you need * Have experience and an at-ease demeanor throughout the process * Can be more fun to work with because of their expertise, experience and attitude being around artists * Are more efficient and save time * Are worth what you pay them *
ME: 31 Years-old, Caucasian, Clean Cut, 5'11", 170 lbs. Athletic, Experienced (nude, clothed, drawing classes, painting, photography, NO sculpture) A pleasure to work with.
RATES: $20/hr (Sliding scale for students); one hour minimum charge.
