NSAR FINANCIAL REPORTING
• Reviews complex work of the financial reporting analysts to ensure the accurate completion of the financial statements, prospectuses, N-SAR, and 24f-2 filings with minimal comments from management
• Significant time is spent leading projects under the direction of a manager relating to specialized complex mutual fund financial reporting issues and policies
• Conducts training through formalized training sessions on financial reporting rules and regulations for the funds
• Prepares moderately difficult procedures, which outline the financial reporting policy for the funds, ensuring the most effective way for such procedures to be carried out by the Department
• Independently interprets and applies new reporting rules, regulations and procedures as they impact mutual funds as well as the application of current reporting rules to new investment products entered into by the funds
• Holds meetings with Fund auditors to review comments during the audit cycle
• Participates in the hiring process for new financial reporting analysts
• Serves as a resource to the managers
• Supervisory responsibility in leading team with minimal supervision from manager
