  • Build a functionality testing platform with Selenium and Watir that will integrate with SVN to allow developers to build tests alongside their code, monitor our main production websites, and simulate flash traffic loads.
  • Integrate Puppet, SCCM, Xen and Nagios together with our internal ticket system and SVN to ensure that we consistently and accurately monitor and manage our infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
  • Managing and growing the production systems environment using puppet and xen cloud.
  • Migrate existing systems that are not converted to puppet and document the system configuration.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve technical issues that affect the production environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES...

* Work under general direction from QA team lead and product development engineers to refine and execute test plans that will cover both functional and non-functional (performance, usability) testing.
* Assist in developing and documenting functional test plans. Collaborate with other QA, Engineering and Product Manager employees to define and document this test plan. Continually maintain and update this test plan.
* Work in a continual test mode in our Agile based development process. Have very strong attention to detail when it comes to product testing looking for bugs as noted in test plan, but also be able to discover new issues that are not necessarily documented as part of scripted test plan.
* Run both manual and automated test plans to find bugs, defects and regressions in product functionality. Work closely with Engineering team to verify bug fixes.
* Record and document the details of bug in our bug tracking system (Jira). Follow up on all assigned tickets via this system.
* Recognize bug severity and be able to escalate and prioritize accordingly based on the severity and impact of any product bugs detected.
* Work independently with engineers on following up on any blocking issues associated with fixing or validating fixed bugs.
* Work with automated testing tools and continually automated test cases using these test tools.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING...

* BS or BA degree required

GENERAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS...

* Solid understanding and practical experience of software development life cycles, with particular emphasis on detailed functional use, analysis and/or testing of web based or mobile based applications.
