ColdFusion/Flex Programmer/Analyst (Wellesley)

Wanted! ColdFusion/Flex Programmer/Analyst (Wellesley)

We have an AWESOME job opportunity for you, this could be your lucky day.

Let me tell you a bit about the role:

Why in the world is such a cool spot open, you ask? Our FABULOUS ColdFusion Programmer left us because his girlfriend got a job in California (whaaaaaaa!). Despite our very flexible work environment, there was no way around that commute. We wish him well, but have to hire someone locally. We offer a cutting-edge development environment within the structure & resources of a mid-size, successful, wealth management firm.

A bit about the position:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed team currently working on enterprise level web based applications. In this role, you will be an individual contributor working in a collaborative environment to create new applications and support existing enterprise level applications.
Specific tasks include:
* Coding, writing technical documentation, debugging code and unit testing their work.
* Creation of enterprise level applications using the latest releases of ColdFusion and Flex.
* Maintenance and support of existing enterprise software applications developed in ColdFusion and Flex.

What kind of experience to do you need to be considered?

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent, with three to five years of programming and analysis experience developing applications using ColdFusion.
Since this is a newly created team, we're looking for a Developer who can jump-in, and who brings these required skills to the team:
* Has participated in at least one major system installation.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; organizational skills; and the ability to work with confidential documents.
* Demonstrated aptitude towards problem identification, resolution and comprehension and interpretation of technical procedures.
* Development using Adobe ColdFusion MX 7 or 8, specifically creating and using CFCs and Custom Tags.
* Proficient in SQL, HTML, and CSS.
* Ability to understand how written requirements translate into a technical solution.
* Experience coding from requirements documentation using traditional Waterfall methodology.
* Committed to delivering high quality work independently or as part of a team.
* Proven problem solving ability.

Desired Skills:
* Flex Versions 1.5 and 2.0
* ActionScript Versions 2.0 and 3.0
* Use of Cairngorm application framework.
* Use of Mach II application framework.
* Experience coding using SCRUM techniques.
* Experience using design patterns and model-view-controller.
* Experience interfacing directly with J2EE code.
* Experience using ShadoCMS.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate successful experience with the responsibilities detailed above, and will possess many if not all of the following important traits: If you don't have 3-5 years development experience, we will consider a talented individual with less experience, say 1-2+ years IF you have amazing internships / COOPs / Summer experience directly related to applications development. You must have top written and verbal communications skills - you won't be hiding behind your monitor all day - this position is highly visible & very interactive. You will deal with people all through the organization - business and technical stakeholders of all levels. We are seeking someone with a fantastic attitude and an "owner's approach" i.e., no job is too small or too big. It is essential that the right person bring a positive attitude, a collaborative spirit and a "get it done" mentality

WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF WORKING FOR US?

An amazing work setting where every day is different and where morale is high. The best of both worlds: the resources and stability of an established company with the high energy and creativity of a newly formed team.

Excellent benefits including base salary with bonus; FABULOUS paid time off; competitive health & dental coverage; 401(k) with match from Day One; On-site, subsidized Cafeteria & Gym, and many other perks. We're in the 'burbs but we have great work space and pleasant work environment.

Business casual dress code - you will never have to wear a suit again!

A chance to get involved in some pretty cool projects --we actually will utilize your intelligence skill set and give you lots of opportunity to contribute and grow.

EDUCATION?

B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred. If you don't have a degree but you still feel you have the experience and qualifications to do an awesome job, please apply anyway. We can be flex for the right match.

So, what are you waiting for, send us your resume!!!!
We’re looking for somebody with some general awesomeness – and specific awesomeness working with dynamic websites. Using stuff like AJAX, JavaScript, DHTML, etc. You'll be charged with working closely with our incredibly talented Design Lead, taking his visions and figuring out the technology, framework, and generally making the work sparkle. We want someone we can give a free hand to do their best work - this isn't the kind of place where people are constantly looking over your shoulder. This is your play. Your work will go into production, not live in beta forever (ahem! starts with a g...). It will be seen by the millions of people who visit our site every month, and all of your changes will be exposed across the site. Probably make you famous (or, infamous, if that’s your gig).

ZoomInfo is inventing new search metaphors for semantic people search - taking Web 2.0 technologies and creating Web 3.0. Over 5 million people visit our site each month, and your work is going to be seen by a lot of eyes.
-BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
-Sense of humor - seriously, that's kind of big
-Great communicator - okay, so it's not like we'll make you do any random oratory (get your mind out of the gutter!), but we want to hear your ideas. And your jokes.

-Experience in (or appetite for) developing product in a fast based, Web speed environment
-Collaborative, and entrepreneurial approach to work – we want to look forward to spending time with you
