JOB SUMMARY:<br>
Responsible for leading the tech transfer of client processes (formulation / fill and lyophilization) and executing engineering functions including design and document controls.  Identify and specify process specific equipment needed for client tech transfer.  Author batch records and SOPs including instructions for the operation of equipment and for detailing process flows in clean room facility.  The successful candidate will be technically inclined to manage and troubleshoot complex processes while adhering to overall project objectives throughout the entire project life cycle from development through cGMP production.  The ability to communicate effectively with clients and write procedures and reports in a concise manner is essential.  This role will have 2 – 3 direct reports initially, including a Validation Specialist and Lead Process Engineer, with plans for group expansion.  Knowledge of validation principles (IQ, OQ, PQ) and practices will be necessary for successful management of validation activities. <br>

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>
1.	Develop new manufacturing and aseptic filling processes to meet client requirements.  Ability to troubleshoot, amend and accommodate the process of aseptic formulation and fill of drug product such that it harmonizes with HCM Manufacturing Facility while protecting the integrity of client technology / product. <br>
2.	Develop Batch Records and write reports. <br>
3.	Perform aseptic processing operations including equipment preparation and sterilization, aseptic assembly, bulk substance formulation and sterile filtration, to support manufacturing.<br>
4.	Execute Engineering functions for all quality system elements, including CAPA’s, DR’s, Change Controls, Design Controls, and Document Controls.<br>
5.	Specify and procure new process specific equipment.<br>
6.	Work with vendors to manufacture new process equipment as necessary.<br>
7.	Maintain contact and good working relationships with clients.<br>
<br>
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR  EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:<br>
1.	Four year degree in Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.<br>
2.	Meticulous and highly organized<br>
3.	Excellent communication skills<br>
4.	Desired -  Experience with clean room personnel and material flows <br>
5.	Desired - Knowledge of process flows – ie. Biodisposables strategies, filtration, mixing strategies, fluid transfer to and from various vessels/biobags<br>
6.	Desired - Working knowledge of process engineering processing aids such as sanitary connections, valves and pharmaceutical process design.  Experience with SIP a plus.<br>
7.	Desired – Experience with lyophilization techniques<br>
8.	Computer literate with good working knowledge of spreadsheet software (Visio or equivalent drawing program a plus).<br>
9.	Ability to work with minimal supervision and interact well with clientele as well as interdepartmentally.<br>

Technical Skills <br>

• FPGA and CPLD design experience using VHDL. <br>
• Knowledge of solving signal integrity issues for high-speed, high performance systems. Experience in high speed backplane design, and in SPICE simulation. <br>
• Understanding of board layout EMI suppression techniques. <br>
• Electrical verification of PCB & product integration. <br>
• Experience in Orcad and Mentor is preferred.<br>

<description><![CDATA[MWH’s Boston office is seeking qualified applicants for an exciting position as a Profession-level Engineer in our Aquatics practice for the Municipal and State Services (MSS) operation. This position will have an emphasis on the analysis, design, construction and operation of aquatic life support systems for zoo, aquarium and marine facilities. Projects also include planning, modeling, evaluation, design and construction of municipal water resource systems and facilities.
<br><br>
<b>Primary responsibilities for this position include: </b>

<br>1. Work on broad assignments and apply engineering principles and practices within the civil, environmental, biological and related engineering fields.
<br>2. Use techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices for biological processes, hydraulics, thermodynamics and other sciences and disciplines.
<br>3. Serve as task leader on major U.S. and international Aquatic projects.
<br>4. Serve as team member on innovative water, storm water and wastewater system and treatment projects
<br>5. Familiarize and coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental, etc. disciplines as they apply to projects.
<br>6. Prepare detailed reports, evaluations, memoranda, design drawings, technical specifications and cost information, and review and respond to construction submittals, shop drawings and RFIs.
<br>7. Assist and support administrative, project management, marketing and business development activities and teams throughout the organization.
<br>8. Make decisions independently and organize/prioritize own work and efforts of others.

<b>Qualifications</b>
<br>
<br>1. Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Biological or related Engineering field, EIT registration or ability to attain it within one year, and 3-6 years of experience. Candidates with additional experience may apply.
<br>2. Knowledge of general civil and environmental engineering fundamentals and practices required.
<br>3. Experience in water quality, biological treatment, hydraulics, thermodynamics and mechanical processes desired. Experience in aquarium and water resource design projects a plus. 
<br>4. Excellent writing, verbal communication and team working skills required. 
<br>5. Computer skills in MS Office products
