Do you have ideas for a creative project but you need models and a stylist/make up artist ?? Or would you like to work with us on our upcoming project at the end of the month? We are looking to collaborate with local photographers!

Do you know of a great location to use for a shoot? We do not have a huge budget but we are currently looking at potential locations to rent for our next project.

If you would like to be a hair model we are always looking for new faces (male and female). Prior experience is not necessary. Models are unpaid but you will have you hair cut, styled and colored or highlighted by our stylist in addition to receiving a CD of the shoot.

A note to the person who flagged this post: This is not some company trying to scam photographers! We are a group of artists looking to work with new talent and collaborate with other like minded individuals. This is NOT FOR PROFIT! Before you assume everyone out there is trying to take advantage of students consider that this is a great place for people to exchange services and gain access to opportunities they otherwise would not have - such as working with a professional stylist, makeup artist and models.

I am seeking an experienced graphic designer to do the layout for an academic art book that is documenting a specific period in the works of an artist here in the Boston area. This is a non-commercial publication (a catalogue raisonne), and will be distributed to museums and appropriate art galleries as a reference manual. We already have all the images of the art works, and this job will entail optimizing the layout of the images for the book (there are approximately 175 images), matching text to go with the image, working interactively with us so that we have a polished and professional end-product, and then making sure that the layout files are as the printer will require them. You will receive credit for your work in the printed book.

Please pay attention to the following statement: We are seeking someone with *direct experience* in working with fine art prints/drawings/painting images. Please do not respond if you are simply a graphic designer who can "do the job"; what we want is someone who has experience with this kind of assignment. The layout should be done in Quark ideally, or whatever other software the printer can work with. But I believe that Quark is what is preferred.

This is obviously a side project for all of us, it is non-commercial in nature and primarily a labor of love, and we are working with a very tight budget.

I'm looking for a model with fair skin and a classically beautiful face for a shoot I'm doing on primitivism vs. technology. No nudity is required. What I mean by classic features is a girl with a straight nose, large eyes medium size mouth and fair skin. Light skin is essential for this photo shoot. Sorry, a more exotic face won't work for this shoot. YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE SATURDAY.

We will be doing one of two shoots. One shoot is weather dependent. If the weather is good, we will be shooting in Provincetown. All transport will be covered to and from Boston. I will pay 50$ for that shoot.

What you're doing is just plain illegal and reflects poorly on your business.

Research the local labor laws before considering an unpaid intern. Interns should NOT benefit the company in any way i.e. they cannot do any actual WORK for you. They can merely redo work that somebody has already done under close supervision. Labor laws state that a true intern will often "hinder" rather than help a company; therefore, you are volunteering your time rather than taking advantage of a poor job market to acquire free workers. You MUST pay your interns minimum wage at the very least.

We require a photographer with the ability to come up with a concept and the personality to be able to direct five musicians. This is more than a point and click job, as the band expects to be directed and critiqued into getting the desired result. You will need a strong personality and confidence in your work.

You will also need to be able to suggest a clothing style for the band to wear on the day of the photoshoot.

We can do outdoor/street photos or inside photos in an appropriate setting. We are not looking for anything too artsy, nor anything too cheesy. Just a cool, flattering photo which matches the style and mood of the music.

I am amazed at how many unscrupulous business people out there are willing to break the law and take advantage of people. An internship is not a ticket to free labor. These scumbags want someone with experience to provide services such as create and update content. They even go so far as to call it a "job description"! That's because it is a job, and thus requires payment in return. Internship doesn't mean free labor! Cheap labor, maybe, but not free.

In order to qualify as an unpaid internship, the requirement is simple: no work can be performed that is of any benefit at all to the company.

The U.S. Department of Labor has outlined a list of criteria that ALL must be met in order for an internship to be unpaid.

1. The training, even though it includes actual operation of the facilities of the employer, is similar to that which would be given in a vocational school;
2. The training is for the benefit of the trainee;
3. The trainees do not displace regular employees, but work under close observation;
4. The employer that provides the training derives no immediate advantage from the activities of the trainees and on occasion the employer�s operations may actually be impeded;
5. The trainees are not necessarily entitled to a job at the completion of the training period; and
6. The employer and the trainee understand that the trainees are not entitled to wages for the time spent in training.

From the above list, #4 is really the key one � all the others will follow from whether the employer derives any immediate benefit from the activities.

The Boston based Rock/Trip-Hop band Stroamata is seeking a single iconic logo and a custom Font style for general use.

For example google the "Nirvana Smiley Face," the "Radiohead Crying Devil" (on the cover of the Amnesiac Album), "The Sick of it All Alleyway Dragon," the Jamiroquai logo, or something as simple as the Moog Logo.

You will notice those bands and products always have font style associated with them. We are also looking for a font to stylize the band name "Stroamata."

The design and font style can come from previous works or sketches you already created, or you can make something custom for the band.

The range I can imagine goes from bikini/underwear to a nice dress that emphasizes your model talent.

This is yet another scumbag company that thinks the honor of working for them is worth working for free. The duties described are necessary for them to make money. An internship is supposed to teach you something, not perform daily tasks that are vital to a company's business. Setting up lights, marketing, and data entry are jobs, not learning experience. If they can't get them done for free they will have to hire someone and pay them real money. Don't let this happen to you.

In order to qualify as an unpaid internship, the requirement is simple: no work can be performed that is of any benefit at all to the company.

The U.S. Department of Labor has outlined a list of criteria that ALL must be met in order for an internship to be unpaid.

1. The training, even though it includes actual operation of the facilities of the employer, is similar to that which would be given in a vocational school;
2. The training is for the benefit of the trainee;
3. The trainees do not displace regular employees, but work under close observation;
4. The employer that provides the training derives no immediate advantage from the activities of the trainees and on occasion the employer�s operations may actually be impeded;
5. The trainees are not necessarily entitled to a job at the completion of the training period; and
6. The employer and the trainee understand that the trainees are not entitled to wages for the time spent in training.

From the above list, #4 is really the key one � all the others will follow from whether the employer derives any immediate benefit from the activities.

Only scumbags take advantage of people in a bad economic environment by offering unpaid "internships" to fill positions they would otherwise have to pay good money for. If you are really desperate, take the gig. Then, after you're done, sue them for everything they are worth. This way, you get the experience, and make much more than the unethical company would have had to pay an employee to provide the same services.

I recently decided to start an innovative ad network so the design has to be CREATIVE, INNOVATIVE & ORIGINAL.

I need 3 REASONABLE quotes (btw i need 5 flash presentations but the other two are identical in work scope). Please provide samples of Flash work SIMILAR IN SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY. If you have not done similar work (corporate branding, design etc) don't bother responding.

I am an aspiring comic book artist, had the dream years back, tried some things but because life has an attendancy to get in the way I never capitalized on it. Now I have some time to try.
