I have a pair of late 1800's early 1900's oil on canvas paintings. The subjects are beautifully executed sitting on their own horses with landscape backgrounds on each painting. There is great detail of the subjects and the horses. The paintings with the frames are approx. 29" X 33". The canvas measure approx. 19 1/2" X 24". I was unable to find a signature. The paintings themselves are in good condition with some cracqueiure on both. The pair of paintings are in gold guilded frames which are in good condition. I do not know if the frames are orginial to the paintings. I had these paintings looked at an auction house and they indicated that the paintings are early and not reproductions. I have tried to do research in regards to these prominent French subjects but was unable to find anything. If you can find out who sat for the paintings which I would assume is a father and son with some nobility you probably could track down the artist. Chippendale Desk is a real & genuine New England fine antique made sometime during the 1920s according to exact and ornate specifications of the 1790-1820 era. Perfect condition, except a stamp and ring left on one corner of top leather and a separation of wood on left side panel. Chose to not remove the stamp as it reflects old fashion method of posting. Wood can be easily repaired. This piece compares with many offerings in excess of a thousand dollars.

Antique HABSBURG China MZ Austria Gravy Boat w/ Base Pattern 9222 (Newton) $40

Beautiful piece bears the MZ Austria mark of Moritz Zdekauer, with the Austrian imperial griffin logo, dating the piece to c. 1884 - 1909.

Habsburg Pattern 9222, white porcelain with delicate pink iris flowers and buds and a garland of green and reddish brown leaves. Has an ornate handle that is embossed in gold on one side. Piece is scalloped with raised figural detail around the upper rim and base rim.

Boat portion measures 4" x 7.5" x 3.5" tall, and holds approximately 2 cups. Base measures 6" x 10".

Excellent condition for its age. No scratches or chips whatsoever on the boat portion, handle or top of the base. On the underside of the base lip, has two small flake chips, very hard to see unless piece is turned upside down and held to the light.

Also listing the serving platter in this pattern.
