GENERAL SUMMARY:
Lewtan Technologies, the leading provider of workflow solutions to the global asset securitization industry with corporate headquarter based in Waltham MA, is looking for a bright, intelligent, creative, and experienced Principal Software Engineer to establish ways to better improve our systems, serve our clients business objectives and join our dynamic Cash Flow team.
The Principal Software Engineer will be responsible for both development of new software and support of existing software. This individual should possess strong problem-solving and technical/programming skills. This person should be a self starter with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related area.
5+ years hands on programming experience
Proficient in applying Microsoft.Net technologies(C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET AJAX, JQuery, MS SQL, etc) to design and implement large scale web projects (including web sites, web services, server farms, etc) independently, and improve existing systems.
2+ years experience using C++ in a Microsoft environment. Additional C/C++ experience in Linux/Unix environments a plus.
Object-oriented software development experience
Familiarity with some or all of the following: COM, .Net Web Services, IIS, automated QA processes, application programmer interface (API) development
Proficiency using database tools (SQL Server)
Knowledge of Excel including VBA programming
Prior experience working with structured finance or fixed income applications a big plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of other standard business applications (Word, Outlook etc)

Have an ability to multitask and handle multiple projects and daily responsibilities without being overwhelmed

Believe in a problem-solving approach to research and be convinced that every problem or task performed may be performed better and more efficiently
Be able to see process deficiencies and suggest changes
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*:
Work closely with Product Manager to help define and scope new product features
Independently design/architect complex multi-tiered software systems
design and implement new functionality
Implement automated unit tests as well as work with QA to improve testing processes
Provide technical support to Deal Modelers and Client Services whenever needed
Support and improve release processes
Help to define and improve processing flow of deal models and related data
Provide technical documentation for both internal and external use
