With the goal of protecting against financial loss, Asset Protection Specialists (APS) help prevent theft and fraud, while supporting the safety and environmental program requirements for the store where they are assigned.
The APS will use specific tools to minimize loss that may include:
• Identifying incidents of theft and fraud
• Reviewing CCTV and exception reports
• Monitoring the store's physical security
• Driving a "shrink elimination" culture in the store
Above all, the APS must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates, and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting these key responsibilities.
To qualify, you must:
• Be at least 18 years old
• Pass the drug test and background check
• Pass the validated selection tests
Preferred qualifications include:
• Proficiency in the use of retail CCTV systems
• 2+ years in either a retail environment or Home Depot equivalent.
• Relevant work experience store operations, asset protection, safety, environmental, law enforcement or military
