Windows Systems Administrator

Direxxis is a rapidly growing, established company looking to hire a full-time Systems Administrator.

We are an established, privately funded and profitable business founded by well-known experts in the database marketing and software technology industries. We are a bright, high-energy team driven to expand our top-notch technical organization. Our clients are well-known, prestigious organizations. Direxxis is located in Needham, MA at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Route 128.

Opportunity:

• Support existing servers, setup and configure new servers that power our award-winning dmEDGE™ Marketing Portal
• Troubleshoot and resolve server issues
• Install and configure server services including Microsoft SQL Server and Apache Tomcat
• Work with security team to continually update and implement security initiatives
• Work with our implementation team to size and configure new environments for our hosted web-based portal.
• Familiarity with load balancing concepts
• Assist users with day-to-day computing issues
• Support and advise on backup and recovery schemes
• Help to define and implement server and storage strategy
• Setup and configure employee laptops and workstations
• Work with a great team in an industry that typically gets stronger in a down economy.


Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration
• Installing, configuring and managing Windows Server
• Familiar with installing, configuring and supporting the following technologies:
• IBM Intel-based server technology
• FC SAN
• Backup Exec
• Microsoft Exchange Server
• Symantec Anti-virus
• WSUS
• Cisco Firewalls
• Monitoring software
• SQL Server DBA experience a plus
• Must be willing to work some off-hours as required
