95% of the rescue groups in this area include the cost of spay/nueter in thier adoption fee so I am not sure why you feel a low fee is necessary, they also see that their dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption and many include certificates to have the dog seen at a vet post adoption. A spay/nueter surgery can range from $350-$650 and I can think of very few groups who's fees for puppies are over $450. Save a Dog in Sudbury is the only exception I can think of off hand, they charge an arm and a leg and spay/nueter is not included in the adoption fee.

Crate, bed, food and toys will need to be purchased regardless and can be found affordably online or through craigslist. If you arent prepared to spend $1000 in the next 1-2 months then you are likely not in a financial position to be bringing a new dog home.

Please do not support back yard pitbull breeders by allowing them a resource to get rid of their unwanted pups. There are plenty of these pups in shelters and rescues across that state, many of whom are abondoned in shelter parking lots and vets offices by said breeders who cannot find homes for them.

Have you ever heard the expression dont look a gift-horse in the mouth?... the same is true for free dogs ... a "free" dog is rarely free.

Below is a link of the puppies in your area available through rescue groups, this is massachusetts so you will find many of them are pit bulls.

Your doggie will get 4 walks a day, nap time and is free to play anytime all around my kid free home. They are never caged or crated unless you choose for us to do so. He/She will be treated like our own. There are NO rules for these little guys as they too are on vacation. You have the flexibility to bring your doggie in the previous evening for NO EXTRA cost.

Requirements:
Dog has to be under 30 lbs (but might consider a little bigger dog if we are not boarding any other dog at that time) and
Up to date on its vaccinations (please bring copy of proof of vaccinations).
Spayed/Neutered and potty trained.

Our rates are ONLY $20.00 A DAY. We prefer boarding 2 dogs (regular times) at a time but might board a max of 3 (holiday season).

In the mornngs they are fed a warm meal of all sorts of veggies (list on request) and pellets..afternoons a piece of fruit, peanut butter sandwich, chicken bone or maybe a ravioli. We have owned birds for well over 20 years and provide this service in our private home for concerned owners who worry about their feathered friend/friends when they want to go away. Young F Pit Caged in Closet HELP!! (Stoneham/Framingham)

A friend of mine lives in an apartment below his younger sister. His sister has an infant daughter and a dog. It's a well known fact that her dog is kept in a large dog crate nearly All day, Every day. This has been going on for an extended period of time, despite continuously telling her that it's no way to treat a dog. She simply denies it. We've all said something, and the situation has only gotten worse. The dog's crate is kept in a closet, and when my friends get home, they can literally hear the dog scratching at the floor above them. It's Disgusting, and heartwrenching, to say the least. We're stepping in.

We've decided against calling the ASPCA. I've worked in pit rescue, and know all too well that things would only get worse for this dog, who we think was even abused by her Former owners as well. A shelter of any kind is the Last thing this dog needs now. We are all on board to get this dog a proper family, and the life she so desperatly wants and deserves.
PLEASE HELP HER!!

I've met this dog myself, both in and out of the cage. She is very, Very sweet. She is a Young(1-3?), Adorable, American Pit Bull Terrier (red nose), and a pure sweetheart. Loves people, and lives with an infant. However, she is very Not good with other animals, so she needs to be your one and only!! :) *If you have a male pit, I am open to an introduction to see if it works. We would of course prefer somebody who is breed-savvy in this case, but as long as you are willing to learn and help, we'll take anybody with the right home, ability, and love to offer.

This is one of the most affectionate breeds of dogs, she Needs human affection. This is also a high energy breed, so a fenced yard is important!

The excuse for crating the dog is that she chews. If that is Actually the case, then I will personally help you train that out of the dog. Everything is workable with pits. They just want to please their person. If not trained, they don't know what to do. Chewing is just a sign of stress. I would gladly help you train this dog, and teach you how to maintain her direction. Because she is not animal-friendly, I cannot foster her myself, so I can't pre-train her here.

Whoever takes this dog is welcome to use me for help with training and the adjusting period, and any advice or answers you may need. I am an experienced pit owner, and know the breed and canine behavior well. Fortunatly, pits are the most rehabitable breed of dog, -just look at Michael Vick's pits; all happily rehomed with families. Pits are also the most eager to please. Human aggression was literally bred out of this breed 2 centuries ago, so don't buy into the media hype. If you'd like any explanation or information to back that up, I have more than enough for you. Please feel free to ask.

I know the deal with craigslist, so this is not a "free" dog, persay. But if you are the right home, we will wave all fees. If you are the wrong home, ..you couldn't pay us enough. This is strictly a Family dog. A pit is not a status symbol, a weapon, or a fighter/bate dog. This is a young life who needs a loving home. She just wants someone to love her every day the way she loves all of us.

Can you or ANYONE you know help this little girl?? Please ask around!! Is it YOU?

Our adoption fee is a bargain - $150 for a kitten that is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for FeLV/FIV, microchipped and comes with a 30 day accident or illness policy!

Wilma is a sweet older girl who was found as a stray in western MA. She is approx 10 years old and weighs in at around 10 pounds. She is sweet and gentle. She is still very lively and sometimes seems like a puppy but she also loves to relax and nap. Wilma may have some hearing and sight loss but she is still very able. She loves everyone she meets.
She would do well in a home with tolerant cats, other dogs, or respectful older children. She loves to cuddle with all the humans in her foster home. She is a cutie.

We have been foster parents to a resuce organisation and so she is used to dogs with different personalities. Your doggie will get 4 walks a day, nap time and is free to play anytime all around my kid free home. They are never caged or crated unless you choose for us to do so. He/She will be treated like our own. There are NO rules for these little guys as they too are on vacation. You have the flexibility to bring your doggie in the previous evening for NO EXTRA cost.

Requirements:
Dog has to be under 30 lbs (but might consider a little bigger dog if we are not boarding any other dog at that time) and
Up to date on its vaccinations (please bring copy of proof of vaccinations).
Spayed/Neutered and potty trained.

We have come to the unfortunate decision that we need to find a new home for our cat. We recently got a dog, and they don't get along very well. She is very sweet and affectionate with us, but hides all the time, and we can't give her the attention that she needs.

We want her to go to a good home.

We have a free carrier case (pink) - its very new, only been used a couple of times. Vet records are current and available. She last went to the vet about 6 months ago, so she is due for a shot or two. We will recommend a vet.

She is perfectly healthy, and, like I said, very friendly and affectionate.

We would like to have her re-homed as soon as possible, as we are going away for the holidays.

She's very shy and skittish, but friendly once she gets acclimated to a new space. Healthy but not very active, sleeps most of the time, good eating habits and litter box habits, no medical issues. I'll do dropoff and pickup, pay is market rate, prefer someone close to Arlington with bunny experience , but this is a pretty easy job so I'd consider someone reliable with little or no rabbit experience.

That's what my clients tell their feather babies.. they are going to Birdie Camp while they go away..Your feathered friend comes into our active and lively home to a room with five of our own birds, large cages filled with new toys, music playing and our small dogs under the cages looking for tidbits tossed by our two African Greys.. it is certainly a better atmosphere than leaving your bright , intelligent and loved birds home all day long while somebody comes in once or twice a day..In truth.. it can be like a three ring circus.. one bird barking like a dog, the other asking for pizza or chicken or calling for me. In the mornngs they are fed a warm meal of all sorts of veggies (list on request) and pellets..afternoons a piece of fruit, peanut butter sandwich, chicken bone or maybe a ravioli. We have owned birds for well over 20 years and provide this service in our private home for concerned owners who worry about their feathered friend/friends when they want to go away. Hello, I am desperately trying to save my Ferret named Bear. He is eleven month old and needs a kidney removed to save his life. I am disabled and have gone above and beyond my means just finding out what is wrong with Bear. I am looking for information on starting a fund raiser. Questions like do I need a permit? Where do I start? I am most greatful that my family and people I love are healthy, but we just lost a ferret and do not think we will ever get over it. My mother has recently died and had two cats that now need a new home(s). The person with whom I am moving in is deathly allergic to cats and I need to find a new home for them immediately. One cat is a spayed female. She is quite overweight, but still adorable. She is mostly white with grey tiger stripe patches. Sadly my mother did overfeed her. With diet and exercise she'll be slim again. She has a bit of arthritis from being overweight, but again, this should resolve with diet and exercise. She is overall a very friendly animal with a very high pitched voice.

She is a bit older (10 to 11) and would be suited to a quiet home. She tolerates other cats, but would prefer a quiet home.

The second cat is a longhaired orange and white neutered male. He is slightly overweight, but very spry. He is young and healthy and a good mousehunter. He also gets along well with other cats. I have previous records for the orange cat, but no previous records for the female cat. I am asking for a small adoption fee to make sure the new owners can take care of them.

I have a used large pen for sale. It retailed at home depot for over 350.00.. will sell for 200.00
It's about 7 years old, in great condition. There is a little rusting on some of the hardware.
It's 18x6. each panel is six feet, there are four panels. There are two gates, and it can swing open like a gate.
All hardware is included. It can lock as well.
With the explosion of coyotes among us, this is a great item to keep your pet safe in the back yard.
For extra safety, you may want to consider enclosing the top with some chicken wire.. it will depend where you are and if the coyotes are around.
It's something we pet lovers have to be conscious of now.

A person cannot get a certificate for dog training just simply by joining a group and paying a fee to get certified.
You are wrong . In order to get a certification you have to take couirses and take exams and pass the exams in order to get a certification..
It isn't as easy as you make it out to be. If it were everyone would get certified. A certified professional dog trainer has put in his time and studied and passed a difficult exam. A certified professional trainer is your best bet because at least they have taken the time to do what is required and not just call thenselves a dog trainer.
Anybody who tells you that certification is a bunch of crap or is easy to get does't know what they are talking about and probably is afraid to take a certification exam themselves because it certainley isn't easy. Do yourself a favor and hire a professional

By flagging my post you are making it hard to bring a Merry Christmas to a dear friend.

I have searched petfinder sites for weeks now. People are either trying to make a buck off breeding (which I am against) or any Maltese I find is adopted in minutes.

I welcome any help trying to find a Maltese for our friend.

A friend of ours lost her Maltese in a car accident while he was in the care of someone else.

We decided to stop for lunch on the way home from a trip with them rather than come right home.

Imagine how upset they were when they came back and found their baby had died hours before they returned.

He escaped out the front door and was hit by a car.

We all loved Jack so much and will miss him but our friends have huge hearts and need to share that love with another little Maltese.
