POSITION: Family Partner - Children's Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI)
LOCATION: Parent Partnership - Framingham
DESCRIPTION: Full-Time. The Family Partner provides hope, information, advocacy, and one-to-one support to parents whose children are involved in the Children's Behavioral Health Initiative. The Family Partner will assist caregivers in preparation, scheduling and transportation. Assist in assessing strengths and needs of identified child with Serious Emotional Disturbance. Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with clinical staff in the Community Service Agency.
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of behavioral health system and services, DMH, and DCF recourses, special education law and services, and other social service resources, and how to access these services. Candidate must have experience parenting a child with serious emotional disturbance who is currently, or in the past, receiving mental health or related services. High School Diploma is required. Bi-Lingual and Bi-Cultural applicants strongly urged to apply.
