JOB SUMMARY: The Plus program combines day activites in BIS Mailing, our agency owned paid employment business, with funcational like skills curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS: B. S. in a Psychology, Special Education or related field and 1 year experience. In lieu of a college degree a High School diploma or GED with 2 plus years paid work experience in an instructor/care management role with developmental disabilities population.

Functional capability to lift, transfer, pivot and bear consumers' weight in a safe manner. Ability to implement multiple Behavior Modification Plans/individualized interventions/programs. Commitment to community inclusion and upholding the human rights and dignity of people with disabilities, flexibility and responsive to a variety of requests. Ability or willingness to learn ASL, non-violent restraint, CPR/First Aid. Good time management, organizational and communication skills. Vehicle and driver's license required.


OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Must have strong oral and written communication skills with consumers, program staff, families, and other service providers. Computer literatacy.


SALARY RANGE: $29,500-30,500+ depending on education and experience. GWArc is pleased that we are generally able to offer a holiday bonus & end of fiscal year bonus.


WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hrs. per week M - F. plus flexible hours for meetings
