Summary
Pyxis Mobile is looking for a Graphic Designer/User Interface Designer to join our team. In this role you will be an individual contributor in support Pyxis Mobile’s marketing, engineering, and professional services departments by designing and delivering high-quality visual content for mobile applications (that run on iPhone, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile smartphones), marketing material, video, website, and more. The right candidate will be an artist, with proven software interface experience, and the ability to create top-tier imagery for all digital and print mediums.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to the following):
• Design the user interface and user experience of our clients’ mobile applications
• Work with our engineering team to refine the user interface capabilities of our application design tool
• Produce marketing materials, general-use graphics, and web graphics
• Conceive and produce marketing videos, demos, etc.

Qualifications
• 5-7 years of extensive experience in a high-tech graphic artist role
• Demonstration of cutting edge visual design techniques including composition, layout, information hierarchy and information visualization.
• Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology and usability best practices, particularly as applied to mobile applications.
• Experience developing UIs for software products used by a varied customer base.
• Tools of the trade: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Final Cut, Motion, Dreamweaver, Flash or equivalent
• Flash skills are a plus
• Illustration skills are a huge differentiator
• Ability to think creatively
• Knowledge of mobile software would be great
