**** FREE TRIAL DRUM LESSON **** (Watertown)

Hi. My name is Steve Percoco. I'm a former student of Bob Gulotti(Phish, The Frings, Tre Anestasio) and the late great jazz legend Alan Dawson. I'm a very flexible drum teacher with a unique teaching style. I teach complete beginners as well as intermediate and advanced students. My students range in age from six to sixty and play music ranging from Jazz, Rock, Blues, R&B, Funk, Reggea, Ska, World Beat and Heavy Metal to Fusion, and Progressive Rock. The one thing they have in common is they enjoy playing the drums and they enjoy taking drum lessons.

My home studio offers two full drum sets, a great stereo, a T-V with VCR and DVD players, and an atmosphere that will get you playing your best every time. I focus on positive reinforcement, playing with dual drummers and playing to music as well as covering all the rudiments and getting the most out of written material without it sounding like a boring excercise (we do those at the beginning to warm up).

Scheduling is very flexible and I don't want this to be like school. This is more like coaching and each student is treated as an individual with unique goals. My job is to help you reach your goals whether it's as simple as getting more enjoyment from playing drums or preparing to play professionally.

Give me a call or send me an e-mail to schedule a lesson and I'll get back to you ASAP. (617) 924-9129 stevepercoco@yahoo.com
Pro guitar instructor available for private lessons. I work especially well with children or beginners of any age. Or if you have already got started and your stuck I can be of great help. AND....you don't have to leave your home. $35 per lesson.(45min.)I will provide references from other delighted parents and students upon request. Call 617-650-1742 to set up a lesson. Ask for Tom.
***** DRUM SET LESSONS ***** (Watertown)

***** DRUM SET LESSONS *****

Hello potential drum student. As you're surfing around looking for drum teachers, here are a few things to consider:

---Does the teacher have a good amount of experience both playing professionally and teaching professionally?

---Are they good at explaining things to both beginners and advanced students?

---How is their studio? Does it have two full drum kits, stereo, DVD/VCR or just the bare minimum?

---Is the location easy to get to by car as well as public transportation?

---Does the teacher offer a free trial lesson so you can check him/her out before comitting to paying for lessons?

---Are they flexible in terms of scheduling and what they are willing and capable of teaching?

---Are the rates reasonable and are you getting the most for your money?

My name is Steve Percoco. I can answer some of these questions for you about myself so you can compare my background with other teachers you are considering.

___I have 26 years of professional playing experience and almost 20 years teaching experience

___I am very clear in explaining things and very patient. My students feel comfortable learning new things on the drums.

___I teach out of my house where I have a finished basement with two full drum sets, a great stereo right behind the student kit so you can here everything, and a T-V set up in front of the drums when needed (explaining a drum video concept or to watch a drummer play a part that the student may want to learn).

___I'm located in Watertown which is very close to Waltham, Weston, Newton, Belmont, Cambridge, Sommerville, Brighton, Allston, Arlington, Needham, and Boston.

___I offer a free 30 minute trial lesson to all beginning students regardless of their level.

___I teach the basics at first meaning rudiments, warm-ups, and fundamentals of reading and coordination followed by an individualized program that is different for each student so that each and every student gets what they want without sacrificing technique and the fundamentals. I am also well versed in most styles of music including Rock, Jazz, Funk, World-Beat etc...

___My rates are $20 for 30 minutes, $30 for 45 minutes, $40 for 60 minutes and a reduced rate of $50 for a 90 minute lesson. I teach 7 days a week so that I can accomodate the variety of busy schedules of my students.

Give me a call or send me an e-mail to get started or if you have any further questions. My number is (617) 924-9129 or e-mail stevepercoco@yahoo.com
My name is Vod Hatch and I am a conditioning coach and can get you lean and fit. I am a former sparring partner and am a certified personal trainer. I train out of my private, well-equipped and clean studio in Lexington with a strong emphasis on cardiovascular conditioning. Each session lasts 60 minutes and the workouts are nonstop. The goal is to have you attain your highest possible conditioning. After all, the better your conditioning, the harder you can work out. The harder you can work out, the better you will look. One of the best investments you can make is in yourself.

Celebrities train hard and often and treat it like an investment, because for them it is an investment in their careers. Other people view training as an investment in their health and hope it will pay dividends later with a longer life and one of higher quality. If you plan for your retirement and invest wisely for your future, why not invest in your present to help you reach that future in better shape to enjoy it? Don’t be tomorrow smart and today foolish! Get into shape! It’s the smart thing to do!
You will never train harder or get a better result. Come and rediscover your inner athlete. Together we can get you looking fabulous and have lots of fun in the process. Try a free initial session and see if it is for you.

Here are some of the things you may do when training with me

- Running (indoors and out)
-	Jumping
-	Skipping rope
-	Punching focus pads
-	Hitting the heavy bag
-	Pushups
-	Crunches
-	Hill work
-	Weight work
-	Medicine ball work
-	Chopping wood (optional!)

No two workouts are ever the same and you will be amazed at how quickly you lose weight and get fit.

Click the link to my website to learn more

I scored in the top percentiles of all test takers in the verbal portion of both tests, and have proven myself in assisting people in raising their verbal scores, too. Most of those who have sought me out as a tutor are those who have found most test prep books and commercial courses to be less than effective, and who have decided to look for a patient and skilled instructor for the verbal part of the GMAT, GRE and SAT tests.

Many people erroneously feel that the verbal part of these tests cannot be studied in a traditional way, but my average student succeeds in an increase of 100 points or more. I teach proven approaches to acing the verbal section of the GMAT, the GRE, and the SAT, which reduce feelings of anxiety and fear -usually the result of not having a complete understand of the exam and what to study.

In the past several years I have taught several hundred students to distill the material into different techniques and strategies for getting a high score and it would be my pleasure to be your tutor, too. Please reply with the best phone number and time of day at which to reach you, and I will promptly get back to you. Please also include a little bit about your background and which test you are studying for. I always enjoy learning about people’s unique situations. Thank you and I will look forward to hearing from you. You can leave me the best number to reach you at.

Dynamic Teaching and Coaching for the GMAT, GRE, and SAT

In my decade of teaching, I have worked with GMAT and GRE students of all educational backgrounds and have helped them to maximize their scores through clear, precise and compassionate teaching combined with an exceptional content knowledge. Many of my students have previously used another form of test preparation and were not happy with the outcome, but after working with me, my students were thrilled at how easy and interesting math (yes even GMAT/GRE math) can be.

Private, Personalized Service

The GMAT and GRE exams tests many years of acquired math skills, in addition to logic and reasoning skills and far too often students are placed in a crowded classroom course that fails to deliver this knowledge in the time provided. I provide students with highly personalized teaching that is strategic to their needs. As a result, my students see greater improvement in their math abilities, confidence, and their scores.

Professional Teaching Experience

Too often many tutors have limited formal teaching experience and as a result are unskilled, ill-prepared, or unqualified for the challenging task of teaching adult professionals the math necessary for a good score. I have professionally taught students from grade school to graduate school and I realize the importance of clarity, organization, efficiency, and compassion while working with students.

Original Teaching Curriculum

Too often students are given inadequate practice materials and as a result, they struggle to acquire the practice that is necessary to internalize and understand the math material that is tested. I work with an original math curriculum that was created by high school math teachers, GMAT and GRE tutors, and college math professors. The questions afford my students the advantage of practicing with material that is realistic, skill-building, and that allows students to learn global skills that can be employed across a large facet of math questions.

I will look forward to speaking with you about how I can help you to reach your target score. Please respond to this ad with phone number and the best time to reach you, and I will promptly get back to you. Please also indicate the test you are studying for, and include a little bit about your goals. I am always interested in hearing about your unique background.

Please leave me the best number to reach you at and I will call you back right away.

Be well.

I want to put together a small group of adults who live in LEXINGTON ONLY who would like to learn to speak Spanish. This is a TRUE beginners group. This will be as much a new experience for me as it will be for you, as I'd like to acquire experience in teaching small beginner groups. I have native fluency in Spanish and in English. Come learn with me! There is no charge whatsoever, but because I am a woman and we will be meeting at my place, I need to meet you first for coffee in Lexington and learn a little bit about you and vice-versa. Bring a friend who might be interested as well.

The group will meet beginning late January, mornings and/or evenings, depending on the availability of those who contact me.

I look forward to hearing from enough people, 3-6, to start this project.

- Running (indoors and out)
-	Jumping

-	Hitting the heavy bag
-	Pushups
-	Crunches

I have scored in the top percentiles of all test takers on the verbal and math sections of these tests, and have proven myself to be a successful teacher in assisting people in boosting their scores.

My typical students are those who have discovered most test prep books and commercial courses to be ineffective for their purposes, and who have decided to look for a highly skilled and exceptionally patient teacher for the GMAT, the GRE, and the SAT exams.

Most people incorrectly feel that these tests cannot be studied, but my typical student sees a large increase in his average score. I teach proven skills and techniques for excelling on these exams, which reduce and eliminate feelings of anxiety and fear that are the result of not having a complete understanding of the tests and what to study.

In the past several years I have taught hundreds of students how to divide the material into a range of strategies for getting a high score and it would be my sincere pleasure to be your instructor, too.

Please reply with the best phone number and time of day at which to reach you, and I will promptly get back to you. Please also indicate which test you are studying for, as well as a little bit about your individual situation. I am always interested in learning more about people’s unique goals and backgrounds.

Please leave me the best number to contact you at and I will promptly return your call.

I am a former teacher with 17 years experience in education and now tutor students in grades K-9. Certified in The Wilson Reading System and Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing, I individualize lessons to fit the specific needs of each student, enabling them to learn the strategies they need to become successful readers. As their struggle to read lessens and fluency improves, they are able to better comprehend and enjoy what they read. When many of my students start working with me, they are reading a year or more below grade level. They are able to make rapid progress to bring their reading skills up to grade level.

I also tutor students in writing. By first targeting their problem areas then teaching effective strategies from several excellent writing programs, I enable students to become more independent writers. I also help students prepare for open response and essay writing for MCAS. The writing lessons also keep them up to speed with their school's curriculum.

I am currently scheduling tutoring sessions for the 2009-2010 school year. I offer flexible times so parents can coordinate tutoring with other out of school activities. All sessions are individual one hour sessions. References available. Feel free to call or email me.

The ideals which have lighted me on my way and time after time given me new courage to face life cheerfully, have been Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. . . . The ordinary objects of human endeavour -- property, outward success, luxury -- have always seemed to me contemptible. Bertrand Russell: To be without some of the things you want is an indispensable part of happiness.

Frederick Turner: To those who followed Columbus and Cortez, the New World truly seemed incredible because of the natural endowments.
Comprehensive Guitar Lessons - All Levels (Franklin, MA)

Hey there,

I am a guitar instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience and even more gigging/studio/professional playing experience. In addition to performing, I have been teaching as a full time gig for the last 7 years or so. I have a slightly different outlook than many instructors in that I believe each student (including beginners) should have an idea of where they want to head with lessons and have at least a rough idea of what they want to learn. The fact is, without an interest in music and a desire to learn, lessons are pointless. Any teacher who tells you that he or she will make you better is somewhat off-track (usually unintentionally)...the fact is, YOU make yourself better. The best teachers will see what you're good at, where you're lacking, and give you a plan or program for how to improve on where you're at and how to grow into the player that you want to be...but you've still got to do the work.

I will be moving to Franklin, MA in the next week or two and will be set up to do lessons out of my house by the new year. I am comfortable with most styles, though I am primarily a rock player. I can teach all beginners, intermediate students in most styles (blues, rock, jazz, fingerpicking, classical), and advanced students in rock/metal and blues. Regardless of your style, I can help you with your technique, the way you approach music, learning, and practicing, and make you a better all-around player and musician. My rates are reasonable - I charge $25/half hour lesson and $40/hour at my home, and $30/half hour or $45/hour for lessons at your home (within a reasonable distance). I truly enjoy teaching all levels of students, the only things that I really require are a desire to learn, an open mind to new ways of thinking about playing, and a willingness to put in the work.

Feel free to shoot me an email with any questions/interest/etc. I look forward to hearing from you!
