We are seeking an energetic, creative individual to take charge and run our shop for the next couple weeks during the holiday season. The ideal candidate would be able to spend a day or two generating a local buzz with creative ideas. We are prepared to do a 30-40% discount on all items and offer the best candidate for this job a commission on all sales in exchange for setting our store on a prosperous path. We are flexible with compensation and would like to hear your proposals for how you could help our store become a big holiday success.
An ideal but flexible timeline: Sunday/Monday proposal, Tuesday or Wednesday visit our studio/store and begin marketing/planning, Thursday-Saturday run the store, and run the store the following Wed.-Saturday.
Additional skills that would be a nice bonus:
retail experience, marketing experience, stylish/artistic sensibilities in-line with our brands
Seeking a mature and personable individual to assist with the annual giving and membership programs, as well as with marketing and public relations tasks at this popular children’s museum.
Location: Acton (must provide own transportation)
Job: Part-time, temporary position - 20 hrs a week, up to one year - at $8/hr

SCSEP is a federal back-to-work program designed to provide older workers with recent job experience and build their confidence and skills, so that they are better prepared to find an unsubsidized job.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist in the day to day responsibilities of the annual giving and membership programs and assist with marketing and public relations tasks. As an assistant, you will use the membership database and other research to identify donor and volunteer prospects, help prepare gift acknowledgements. Work with the Membership Manager to update and manage database. Assist with department mailings, coordinate postings on the web, and support department with fundraising campaigns and special events.
MIN QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in an office setting, excellent planning skills, as well as writing, interpersonal, organizational and COMPUTER skills. Willingness to work a flexible schedule including periodic weekends for special events a plus.
ON-THE-JOB TRAINING: You will work closely with the Director of Development and Communications who will provide skills training and supervision as necessary.
