Indoor Sale of Dollhouses and Supplies (Pepperell)

Hi, I am not a dealer but an over the top collector! I now need to get rid of tons of items. I have everything dollhouse related. Windows, doors, wallpaper, furnishings, accessories.
Most vintage, others new old stock. I have about 7 very vintage dollhouse with glass windows. Definitely fixer uppers for $25.00 each. I also have a huge 2 sided beautiful vintage dollhouse electrified that was hand built for $300.00. I have a 1905 English dollhouse antique that I am also selling for $300.00. I have a perfect stucco electrfied dollhouse Cottage that I will sell for $250.00. These are the most expensive but they are well worth the price. The furniture as well as the accessories are individually priced. Doors and window, in package are $5.00 each. The best thing is there are furnishings that are not found in stores. They are vintage and I have collected them over the years. You will not be disappointed. I am willing to make a good deal on lots. I have arranged the items by similar type in my indoor breezeway. This will make your shopping easier. I also have a supply of odds and ends children toys etc that you are welcome to look through. One other collection I have is old vintage cloth and lace. This would be great for dressing dolls. Some are quite antique. If you want to bring a photo of your dollhouse style or dolls, I can help you pick out some things. I also have tons of books selling from $3-5.00.
If the posted date is not good for you, feel free to get in touch and you can come at another time. Since these are collections, they are 1 of a kind except for windows and wallpaper. Thank you. Hope to see you at 51 Park St, Pepperell Mass on 11/21-11/22. 10 am to 4pm.

Plus the legendary James Lee Stanley
So where have they been hiding James Lee Stanley? We could say that James Lee Stanley is probably the last great undiscovered singer-songwriter in America. But let's say that a diamond has been smuggled into the wasteland and here is where the wasteland ends" - Tom Robbins, Author of Even Cowgirls Get the Blues

"It is simple, really. With James Lee you get great songs, great guitar playing, great voice and a gifted comedian as well.
You are in for a very entertaining evening." Village Voice

It is only a long lived singer-songwriter career that lets JAMES LEE STANLEY unite the unpredictable creative turns and the eclectic elements that make up his world. His remarkable ability as a vocalist and composer allow him to create songs, each recorded with a finely crafted with guitar orchestrations that enhance the lyric. But a whole new dimension is added when James Lee performs live. These incredible songs, coupled with his outrageously hilarious repartee, make for an evening of hilarity and tenderness and one of the most entertaining concerts on the circuit. He has been hailed as one of the few all time greats and undisputed geniuses among singer-songwriters. Fi Magazine listed his FREELANCE HUMAN BEING as one of the finest recordings of 1998 and one of the Top 200 Recordings of all time - FI Magazine March 1999.

JAMES LEE STANLEY, the true renaissance man, was born in Philadelphia, PA, and has been recording and performing since he was fourteen. He has toured consistently since he returned from the USAF (as a Chinese linguist) and has performed up to three hundred dates a year since then, with such diverse acts as BONNIE RAITT, ROBIN WILLIAMS, NICOLETTE LARSON and even BILL COSBY. STEVEN WRIGHT chose James Lee as his opening act for three years in a row; a testament to his professionalism and talent.

You missed a good time last week.
Katie, even with a sore throat, held us all. The result is spellbinding.

This will be another good week, with Marc Bridge as the feature.

About Marc:
It was the summer of 1969 and my father had orders to Vietnam. On the
evening before he departed, he taught me the chords to "Home on the Range"
on his Harmony arch top guitar. He left the guitar in my keeping and asked
me to play him the song when he returned. I practiced till my fingers bled
and I was ready for him when he returned. That spark caught fire after
September 11, 2001 confronted me as it did so many people with the stark
reality that our time on this earth is limited and our opportunity to
create and share diminishes with each passing day. That feeling inspired
me to pick up a pen, and my guitar and write my first song, I haven't
stopped since. I suppose you would call me a Singer/Songwriter which is a
fancy way of saying that I'm a story teller with a guitar who uses modern
day society, politics and relationships to weave an entertaining view of
life through my twisted lens. It's the "twist" that I put on topics that
makes my songs and performances unique and memorable. My style reflects
the influences of the folk, rock and country music that I grew up with in
addition to my love for social and political commentary in lyrics. Some of
the artists that had the biggest impact me were, The Beatles, Crosby
Stills Nash and Young, James Taylor, Warren Zevon, Arlo Guthrie and Loudon
Wainwright III. You will find elements of their melodic structure and
social and political commentary throughout my music.

Even better, you get a coupon, a 15% discount on food, but not on drinks.
It is valid only upstairs for this Thursday, the Marc Bridge show.

Internationally-known pianist Igor Uryash in concert (Wellesley, MA)

ArtsAlive @ UU Wellesley presents internationally-known pianist Igor Uryash on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 7:30pm at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Wellesley Hills – 309 Washington Street Wellesley Hills, MA 02481. Tickets: $12 adults, $10 seniors/students. Children 10 and under are free. Program to feature Rachmaninov’s Variations on Themes of Corelli and Chopin as well as Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Light refreshments will be available. This concert is made possible via collaboration with the Educational Bridge Project.

About Igor Uryash:
Laureate of the International and All-State Russian piano competitions Igor Uryash studied at the Saint Petersburg (Leningrad) Conservatory under Professors Anatoly Ugorskiy and Tatiana Kravchenko. A brilliant solo performer with extensive repertoire, maestro Uryash regularly appears as soloist and chamber ensemble performer throughout Europe, USA, Canada, and South East Asia. Over the years he has collaborated with such world famous musicians as Mstislav Rostropovich, Maxim Vengerov, Viktor Tretiakov, and Valery Gergiev. Often the first interpreter of the new music, Uryash has participated in numerous music festivals, including “Dekabrskie Vechera” (Russia), “Mozart week” (Austria) and “Musicalishe Sienergien” (Italy). He maintains an active performing schedule while continuing his work at the Conservatory. He thus furthers the prestigious tradition of the Russian piano school established in 19th century by the Conservatory founder Anton Rubinstein.

About ArtsAlive:
ArtsAlive is a performing arts series sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Society of Wellesley Hills. The series celebrates both local and nationally (and internationally) known artists from a wide variety of disciplines: from classical instrumentalists and vocalists to jazz, pop, rock, folk and dance performers. Two to four concerts are scheduled each year. Visit http://uuwellesley.org/artsalive for updated information on future concerts.

About Educational Bridge Project:
The Educational Bridge Project's mission is to provide a forum for collaborative American-Russian creative initiatives. The Project fosters educational and artistic exchanges and organizes two annual festivals, Days of Russian Culture in America and Days of American Culture in Russia, and in so doing creates opportunities for the participants of the academic and cultural institutions to become international ambassadors, sharing with local communities the rich musical and educational traditions of the schools, the historic cities and the cultures they represent.
One Fast Move or I’m Gone: Kerouac’s Big Sur

In 1957 Jack Kerouac was a literary rock star, lionized by his fans, but along with sudden fame and media hype came his unraveling.

One Fast Move or I’m Gone: Kerouac’s Big Sur, takes us back to the cabin in the Big Sur woods he retreated to and the Beat haunts of San Francisco and New York City for an unflinching look at the compelling events the book is based on.

The story unfolds through Kerouac’s prose, first-hand recollections from Kerouac’s contemporaries as well as writers, poets, actors and musicians who have been deeply influenced by Kerouac’s unique gifts and by stunning, High Definition visual imagery set to original music composed and performed by recording artists Jay Farrar of Son Volt and Benjamin Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie.

Big Sur is an evocative account of a time in Jack’s life when he’d “come undone,” both emotionally and spiritually. He escapes to a cabin in Big Sur to confront his inner demons and find a modicum of peace by the sea. The film features cameos by Sam Shepard, Tom Waits, Amber Tamblyn, Patti Smith, Robert Hunter, Lawrence Ferlinghetti and many others.

Jack Kerouac’s novel Big Sur was the lyrical compass for the compelling documentary soundtrack composed by celebrated recording artist Jay Ferrar (Son Volt, Uncle Tupelo) and performed together with Benjamin Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service). The hauntingly intimate lyrics were taken directly from the pages of Kerouac’s Big Sur, and melded into a series of acoustic melodies over the course of three days.

Gary Cherone's WHO Tribute SLIP KID--Celebrates 40th Anniv. of Tommy! (Regent Theatre, Arlington)

SLIP KID COMING TO ARLINGTON’S REGENT THEATRE SAT OCT 24
Tribute To THE WHO Led By GARY CHERONE of Extreme and Van Halen
Will Celebrate 40th Anniversary of Landmark Rock Opera “Tommy”

SLIP KID—a tribute to The Who featuring legendary Boston rock vocalist, Gary Cherone—will perform an exclusive concert at Arlington’s Regent Theatre on Saturday, October 24 at 8pm. This rare show by Slip Kid (the band performs only a couple of times a year) will feature a large portion of the Who’s seminal rock opera Tommy. Says Cherone, "We are celebrating the 40th anniversary of Tommy, a watershed moment in rock ‘n’ roll, and Slip Kid performs it in the spirit of Live at Leeds, the way The Who originally intended—not like some Broadway cast which was doing Annie two weeks earlier."

SLIP KID is not just another WHO tribute band, nor does it try to impersonate them. SLIP KID is a truly inspired celebration of the WHO’s music and live performance which captures the raw emotional energy of one of the most revered rock bands of our age. And WHO better to do it? The brain child of the brothers Cherone, with Markus on guitar and Gary singing lead, SLIP KID was born from a common bond that has influenced them from the very beginning and continues to inspire today. The band consists of veterans of the Boston music scene with Gary's former band mate, singer-songwriter Paul Mangone on bass, the manic antics of Moon handled by Dana Spellman on drums, and Jeff Calder on keyboards and programming. In addition to Tommy, the audience will hear the WHO’s early eclectic pop, familiar anthems of a g-g-g-generation, along with a few odds and sods in-between. "For my brother Mark and me," says Cherone, "Slip Kid is pure and easy a labor of love."

>From 1985 to 1996, Gary Cherone led the internationally renowned, multi-platinum rock group, Extreme, releasing several hit singles including the smash, “More Than Words.” The band also performed at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992—seen by over a billion people in 80 countries—where Cherone also fronted Queen. Shortly after Extreme disbanded in 1996, Cherone became Van Halen's lead singer until 1999 replacing Sammy Hagar. Much to the delight of their fans around the world, Extreme regrouped and hit the road over the past couple of years and this summer completed an extensive international tour. The Regent concert provides a rare opportunity to see and hear an arena rock star (and his mates) performing a passionate tribute to an iconic rock band in an intimate, 500-seat concert hall. It’s the closest thing to seeing The Who in their prime at the Fillmore East.

SLIP KID will play the historic Regent Theatre, “Arlington’s Show Place of Entertainment,” on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 8pm. Reserved seats are $20 to $30. Located on 7 Medford Street (off Mass. Ave.) in Arlington, Massachusetts, the Regent Theatre is MBTA and handicap accessible with free parking across the street. For tickets and more information, call 781-646-4849 or visit www.regenttheatre.com.

“A TRIBUTE TO ELTON JOHN” BY YELLOW BRICK ROAD COMING TO ARLINGTON’S REGENT THEATRE SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17 AT 7PM

4th Annual “Lunch Around The World Boston Style” Fundraiser for The Elton John AIDS Foundation Will Also Feature a Set by ‘American Idol’ Finalist Ayla Brown and Massachusetts State Representative Scott Brown as Emcee

Gerald Brann and his band, Yellow Brick Road—the premiere Elton John tribute band—will perform at The Regent Theatre in Arlington, Massachusetts for one show only on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 7pm. Proceeds from the Fourth Annual “Lunch Around The World Boston Style” Fundraiser will benefit The Elton John AIDS Foundation. The charity event--featuring special guest “American Idol” finalist and Massachusetts native, Ayla Brown--will also include an extensive raffle and silent auction. (Ayla Brown's father, Mass. State Rep. Scott Brown will host the event.)

There is no other performer who looks and sounds so much like Elton John, nor any tribute act that provides the experience of being at an Elton John concert the way Brann and Yellow Brick Road do. Brann not only bears an uncanny resemblance to the international superstar—complete with gap-toothed smile and many of his mannerisms—but recreates Elton John’s vocals and playing to a tee. To capture the essence of the piano man, Brann dresses in replica costumes and wears Elton's trademark outrageous glasses. A trained jazz pianist, Brann has been a lifelong Elton John fan, and his admiration for and love of his music comes shining through as he plays one hit after another with remarkable likeness to the pop music icon. Brann and his talented five-piece band evoke audience participation throughout the entire show—whether singing along to "Rocket Man" and "Your Song," swaying to "Candle in the Wind," or hopping and bopping to "Crocodile Rock."

With an unprecedented nod from the man himself, Brann was recently granted permission to use Elton John's own orchestral scores to perform with the Augusta Symphony Orchestra. In addition, Brann and Yellow Brick Road have been officially endorsed by Hercules, the International Elton John Fan Club, and have played extensively throughout New England—including The Foxwoods Resort and Casino—to rave reviews.

The historic Regent Theatre, “Arlington’s Show Place of Entertainment,” is located on 7 Medford St. (off Mass. Ave) in Arlington, Massachusetts. The Regent is handicap and MBTA accessible, with free parking in a municipal lot across the street. Tickets --$35 for preferred seating, $30 for reserved orchestra seating, and $25 for reserved balcony seating, seniors, and groups of 10 or more--are available by calling 781-646-4849, online at http://www.regenttheatre.com/events/, or in person at the Regent Theatre box office.
So far, we've collected two Bruins tickets in the Heineken Board Room Suite at TD Garden, an autographed picture of Patriots' running back, Laurence Maroney, a $150.00 value car detailing, many gift certificates to restaurants, hair salons and more...much more!!! We were worried, due to the economy, that the donations would be hard to obtain. Thankfully as the date of the event nears we are finding people are opening their hearts and making some wonderful donations for the four deserving causes we are supporting.

The table with the most creative team name will win ten $5.00 scratch tickets. The trivia winning table will receive ten $10.00 scratch tickets. So put your creative/thinking caps on and kindly join in the fun.

Please indicate, in your response, if you would like to purchase your ticket(s) in advance.

We hope to see you there.
